I think I had been stuck in a food rut. Until I found this stuff! Thanks
again sf! I don't normally even care for sandwiches but now I keep eating them with the mayo. I was able to make coleslaw with a mayo dressing again! I couldn't follow the recipe exactly as I had no celery seed. Forgot that I gave mine away when they were unable to get my dad to eat his mac and cheese. He only liked mac and cheese with celery seed. Odd but... Anyway... I had celery salt so I subbed that and omitted the regular salt and it was sooo very good! We all loved it. If you haven't tried this stuff yet, I think you need to. If you can get it! I hope you can get it! ![]() |

I discoverdc it when I was over at my nephew's house for a Summer dinner and he had what he saiid is called "Street Corn" (he's married to a woman from S. America) and it had lime flavored mayo, grated Parmesan and a sprinkle of cayenne to taste. Very yummy! Just plain mayo is good too, and it does not melt and run off like butter. John Kuthe... |

I was so surprised how a mayo that wasn't really mayo could taste so good. I thought it was tastier than regular mayo, which is something I'd never guess just by reading the ingredient list. Sampling does sell products... not to me very often, but it worked in that particular case. > > I was able to make coleslaw with a mayo dressing again! Mine had it for about a minute and a half. The product is more expensive than most, so of course that's a deterrent for those who have never tried it and they only had it in one size, which was larger size than the one I bought - so it cost even more than what I paid (which was around $5). Unless there's a real reason to buy it, like being vegan or allergic to eggs - no one in their right mind would have tried it. So, it was one of those products they took off the shelf because "no one was buying it". Too bad. I rarely go to WF, so I don't know if they still carry it or not. I have two jars of regular mayo now, so I won't be checking any time in the near future. In the mean time, I have noticed the one you don't like ("Vegenaise") is in the salad part of the refrigerated section on the vegetable side. -- All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt. |

I am going to Whole Foods today and will see what they have. Central Market has it but only the kind with no preservatives. Safeway still has it but they can't keep it in stock. I should have bought more. I bought several squeeze bottles because they take up less room in the fridge. And the big jar for the coleslaw. Alas, I spaced out and left the jar sitting out last night. Found it just now, all warm. ![]() Perhaps enough for two sandwiches. I do want to make more slaw. That's good eats in hot weather and we all love it! |

I'll be on the lookout for this new type of mayo. It looks like a good idea. I have 1500g of Japan mayo to get rid of first. I had some hamburgers for breakfast today. When I flipped the burger over I laid some cheese on the top and let it melt a bit. Then I flipped the burger over again and browned the cheese. You have to use a non-stick pan but a burger with fried cheese on the top is a wonderful thing. > > > -- > > All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt. |

WF had the glass jars on sale for $4.99. This is the kind that is sold refrigerated and has no preservatives. I would prefer the kind sold at room temp. in the plastic jar because you get twice as much for that price. It all tastes the same and I'd like to have extra for my stockpile. But... I didn't want to go to Safeway just fort that and even if I did, there's a large chance that they would be sold out. They often are. I was only able to get one jar the last time and I think 3 squeeze bottles. The squeeze bottles are $1.99. I rarely buy regular mayo so don't know the price of that but this stuff costs a lot less than the other vegan mayos and IMO they taste terrible. I have not tried the Earth Balance so I can't comment on the taste of it but I'm not likely to buy it now. |

But it's on sale at Whole Foods for $4.99 for that size. Without preservatives which is the type that Safeway sells is cheaper still. Those Internet prices are not good. Some of the food that Amazon sells is way overpriced. I've been wanting La Tierra taco shells. Finally got an email that they have it in stock but they wanted something like $44 for 12 boxes. No thanks! |

That size was under $10 but more like $8. Way more than Best Foods! Sadly, they only carried the huge size so customers had no way to sample and see if they wanted to spend more on a larger size. -- All you need is love. This is also why I will not bite into a whole apple. Always get peel there and particularly between the two front ones where my retainer is. > >> I hope I remember to try mayo on my next ear. > > Please post what you think of it. My teeth are very close together too, but I have no problem eating corn on the cob. -- I take life with a grain of salt, a slice of lemon and a shot of tequila |

We are the same way. Often during the Summer we will eat whatever protein, chicken, fish, meat and forego the potatoes, pasta, rice and just have two or three ears of corn. Fresh corn, ahhhh, such a treat because the season is so short-lived, gotta make the most of it. Nellie |

One summer, we found cafeteria style trays with divided sections at Walmart. We bought them as a joke. They were really cheap. Served husband his dinner on one. He was not amused! They were nice for taking outside though. We used to go outside to eat on hot days as the front yard usually stays pretty cool with all the trees out there. Actually the whole front of the house seems to stay cool. It's the back part that gets hot and stays hot. I think there is better insulation back here or something. |

I can't get to the back teeth without a flossing device and it often gets stuck so I have to cut it out with scissors. My hygienist recommended some things called Soft Picks that she swore I would be able to get between all of my teeth. I can't really get most of the front ones as they are just waaay too close together. Oddly enough I can get the floss there with no problems. The Picks will fit under the retainer and I can get my back teeth with them. |

(knock on wood) I don't floss every day but I do try to do it more than I did. I hate it when bits of floss stick in there. Soooo painful! |
