It's a nice memory, though, even though it's difficult. I had a Drinkwell fountain. But it was such a PITA to clean. Even using the top rack of the dishwasher for the big parts didn't really help. Those nooks and crannies needed to be scrubbed with a skinny brush. The difficult part was removing the electrical connection (adapter?). You had to do that to remove the flow control valve and impeller in order to clean them. That was a major PITA. The filters weren't cheap, either. After about 12 years I finally I said that's it, I'm done. Persia really didn't mind when I decided to swap it for a deep ceramic bowl. ![]() occasionally drop an ice-cube in her water dish. Maybe the fountains are easier these days. I still won't be buying another one. Jill |

I have to dip my finger in the ice water and give it to her drop by drop. Yes, your Highness... ![]() sip of the ice water. When I go to bed I have an insulated tumbler of ice water on the nightstand. In case I get thirsty in the middle of the night. When Persia is curled up next to me, she's not really asleep. She's just pretending to be. Just try to take a sip of that ice water at 3AM. She stands up and demands her "ice water toll". It's pretty funny. ![]() love this little old cat. :-D Jill |

She only wants to drink "dad water." Whenever she sees me drink from my normal water cup (It's a 20oz green plastic cup), she fights to get some and I let her drink from it. I normally will rinse it out then for me, but not always....we do share all the same germs here. ;-D G. |
