Just curious. Do you have AC? And what sort of abode do you have? House?
Apartment? If apartment are you on an upper floor? Thanks!

I agree. The air conditioning nonsense should be forever done! Now another
thread? Seriously?

It's pretty obvious she wants to keep the swamp cooler/AC discussion going.

Dinner tonight was very simple. Spaghetti with tomato/red sauce. I
sauteed a small yellow minced onion and several cloves of garlic in a
little oil. I added them to a pot with a large can of (drained) crushed
tomatoes, a little water and the usual herb/seasoning suspects -
oregano, basil, sage, a little thyme. Of course, salt & pepper. I had
a small zucchini squash which I diced and added towards the end of
letting the sauce cook down. I've got leftover sauce for tomorrow and
enough for future homemade freezer dinners.

Oh puleeze! I've been pinged (and pinged people) over the years. If
you request a reply to the group, it's certainly not PRIVATE. You made
the topic public by asking tert on rfc: "Do you have AC? And what sort
of abode do you have? House? Apartment? If apartment are you on an
upper floor?"

That should be a private email invitation. "Ping: tert in Seattle.
Please email me." Then you can discuss it privately, if tert wants to.

That would work. Questions would include:
What kind of house does tert have?
Is she really in Seattle?
Is it Air Conditioned
What color is the bathroom?

We have to know these things and my life won't be complete until then.

Oh come on. Just don't look at it! I'm not going to go around emailing
people, especially since so many used invalid or munged addresses anyway

I asked you specifically because you are in this area. AFAIK, nobody else
is. I don't care what people in other areas do. Those areas are not here.

Sorry. Didn't mean to stir anything up. Just wanted to know if you had AC
since you are in this area. I was at 5 different places today, 2 of which
had AC. Big lots had that 20% off sale but then daughter reminded me that
they have no AC so we didn't go there.

I know of three people here who have AC. My mom, my bro and a woman I am no
longer in contact with. Nobody else I know has it. I don't know why my bro
got it but he got it maybe 2-3 years ago and he never uses it.

DUH... that's why I said you should have ping'd tert and asked him to
email you. If he wanted to he wouldn't do so with a munged email address.

Heck, I don't know. I guess I should have typed he/she.

At any rate, I wouldn't ping someone with those sorts of questions. I'd
just ask him/her to email me. If they want to reply via email they will.

Julie wants to fantasize that she's Adrienne Barbeau in Swamp Thing.

Wasn't that the point in choosing a non-gender specific nom de plume?

That's what happens with a name like "tert". You'd be an "it" if you
were a machine. They know you're a mammal, so s/he fits - and don't
expect everyone to remember your gender. Everyone knows mine because
swishy publishes it on a regular basis.

I don't personally even care. It was just all these people insisting that I
get AC. I wanted someone else who is actually in this area to say whether
or not they had it. He or she won't do that so... *shrugs* I don't want
them to email me as that info. is not something *I* need to know. Just from
what I read, the people who do need it in Seattle live on upper floors of
apartments. I had some friends in Seattle but they were not high rise
buildings and lived on the 2nd or 3rd floors. They didn't seem to need it.

Don't expect to be called "it" unless you change your posting name to
It.
