Bwrrrryan's favorite taste is turkey neck.

I get it. It has to do with a lower cost of living (rent, cost of
labor, etc) - but I kissed 99¢ lb for chicken parts goodbye before the
"housing bust" became stark reality 5 years ago. I'm actually not
jealous - the reality is that I'm sorry the economy is still obviously
depressed in so many parts of the country.

I'm still mourning the loss of $.89 chicken. The $1.07 hurts me each
time I buy and Baxter is eating one chicken per week. Poor guy, I'm
bracing myself to make the big decision. Walking is very difficult
for him.

Fortunately where I am, the price occasionally goes to .79 or .89 and I buys
several then, I bought legs and thighs for .99 yesterday and I thought that
was high though, but poultry prices do seem to be rising rapidly.

I know how you feel. I prepare myself for the inevitable long before
I have to make a decision like that and it's still a hard one.

You obviously haven't kept up with the news. The middle class is
shrinking and yes, people are pinching pennies.

Okay, so where the **** do YOU live? UK? Already too poor to go downhill. Australia? Savages from the beginning. Italy? Filthy, lawless people.

For the record, plenty of us can afford decent meat. It's just harder to find, because, yes - there are economic problems. Globally. Maybe you live in UAE and everything's fine. I guess you also live somewhere that doesn't have what we like to call "Financial News".

OH!!! Canadian! I did't think of them (who ever does)? They ARE nice, simple(ton) people who thankfully never aspire to contribute to the world at large.

The Less than 1% would like you to think things are looking up, which
you obviously do. It's their way of keeping the ignorant under their
thumb.

Trickle down economics. sf doesn't believe in it but it works. If you
are making good money, you'll tend to spend more. Your spending
provides more work and income for others.

God, Gary, sometimes you seem intelligent, and then you say something so
****ing stupid that it makes you look like a twelve year old. Sure, if a
person who makes $70,000 a year goes up to %75,000, that person will likely
spend more, but if someone who makes $60 million goes to $75 million, they
won't spend more, and they only invest if it seems lucrative. Right now,
the rich are sitting on their wealth, and accumulating more, while chumps
like you are getting ****ed in the ass by them, and begging them for more.

It's tinkle down economics, and you're getting a face full of **** from the
rich *******s that you worship. Hey, they're like gods, right? They *create*
jobs. Gods create. You're like Job, if Job's religion was Mammon worship.
You're a chump, exactly the sort described by that Steinbeck quote in the sig.
file of one of our Canadian friends.
"Socialism never took root in America because the poor there see themselves
not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarassed [sic]
millionaires."
