Shrimp is not something I would ever eat so that's not a concern of mine. |

Many times you will notice an ammonia-like taste to fresh shrimp because they have to treat it to keep it fresh enough to get to market, unless you buy it at the dock. I think the best quality shrimp is fresh-caught and flash frozen. I live near the Port of Brownsville, one of the largest shrimping operations on the Gulf of Mexico and I'll go down to the shrimpers and buy the shrimp that's been frozen right off the boat. I think it's better. -- From somewhere very deep in the heart of Texas |

I was in one in san francisco, where they ran around with these bamboo steamers and stamped your receipt for what you got. the desserts were great. Forgot the name of the place. |

Its odd that Sysco doenst sell any 100% pure fries, even if Keller claims they are. As you noted below this is a very expensive place, where it would be sound to assume you'd be given unique food experiences. Fries are 50% of a meal. You might expect to get soemthing special not a generic frozen foods thing. Id expect that of a 10$ burger pub meal. My point in mentioning this place in the first place was that you cannot use teh price range as a guide line. The first answer that would come to mind for my initial question would be to look at the prices. > > > I really don't care. I looked up the restaurant and their menu. It's not the kind of place I would go to in the first place. |

So you want to visit Chowhound, specifically their regional forums, where you can ask locals for their local restaurant recommendations and read reviews of local restaurants. http://chowhound.chow.com/boards |
