Makes no sense to me either. At the time I bought them, several years
ago, they were on special at Grocery Outlet at a very good price. I
can't eat them anymore, but was curious if they still made them.

My second grade teacher, Miss Cobel, who I had a crush on, took the
class on a tour of the Chun King factory in Brooklyn. I've always
been highly intrigued with manufacturing processes. I built factories
for a living. As an aside even then I knew Miss Cobel had lovely
large breasts... she was in her mid twenties, long wavy dark hair, the
perfect face, I've no idea what happened to her but I have never
forgotten her, to this day I can still picture her... Miss Cobel is
indelibly etched in my brain... I think I must judge all women's looks
by Miss Cobel's, to date no one has ever measured up... every time I
eat Chinese food I think of her.

I remember Brach's and how you'd pick what you want and bag it, too. I
didn't buy them often but I liked those chewy ones with the creamy
center, were those Brach's?

Long before Jelly Belly hit the scene, my dad would occasionally bring us
candy flops. There was a day old bread/Hostess store on his way home from
work and also some sort of store that sold damaged candy. In the case of
jelly beans it was usually two stuck together.

I don't like most jelly beans. But some of the Gimbals flavors are nice.

That could be.

I'm not sure what those would be. I liked the huge ones with the flat
bottom and domed top, dipped in chocolate. They had various flavors but I
liked the mint.

Why Julie. What an odd thing to hear you say.

Love the copper drums that look like cement mixers!

I saw wheat grass in pots today at Raley's. I don't know what you
mean by far from fresh when it's growing in pots, but it looked on the
mature side to me... not young green shoots.

I buy it for the cats. Young is fine as is lawn grass looking green. But
yellow, dried out and wilted is not. And that's how they seem to have it at
Albertsons now.

They don't claim to make Belly Flops on purpose, they are supposed to
be seconds... so if online sellers can get that much for Flops, I
guess there really is a sucker born every minute..

I've decided that I'm not fond of Raley's either.

I hated Albertson's when it was in my area, but so far their merger
with Safeway has been a good one. Time will tell how things go. At
least I have other options if it doesn't go well in the future.
