Not in our market, but rather attractive.

Diesel?

For whatever reason we still lag in diesel adoption here.

Yes 2.8 diesel. DH has a 2.8 Pajero diesel. They are both Jap imports and
basically the same car, but mine is short wheelbase and his long.

I had a Shogun for many years but it died and I got another car thinking the
mileage might be better but ... I had to sell it and get a Shogun again)
I won't change again)

I'm curious, what kind of mileage does that get?

The last compact diesel SUV we had here was Jeep's Liberty, and it only
lasted maybe 2 years with low sales.

I drove a 2L turbo diesel in a Vauxhall Insignia. It has the flattest,
smoothest, torque curve of any engine I've ever driven. It felt more
like an electric motor than a piston engine. It had some long legs and
passing at 70 MPH was a piece of cake. This was a car that weighted
around 3500 lb and got over 40 MPG. I can barely believe that such a
thing is possible. The power delivery worked so smoothly that you'd be
an idiot to mess it up with a standard shifter. Hopefully, that's not
offered in this car. Simply brilliant!

Same here! We don't get a lot of snowstorms, but the ones we do make me
so glad to have 4x4.

I finally found something pefect to put my supplements in and it was
something like $5 as an add-on at Amazon, so no shipping. I tried a
different dispenser but it was missing a part, so back it went.

This doesn't hold the contents of entire bottles, but I made space for
the bottles and only have to handle this daily rather than open so many
jars.

Everyone I know must not be sane. Last time I swapped tires was on my

Your streets must be well plowed. We need to bring chains when we go
to the mountains. I'd rather have snow tires, but their cost wouldn't
be justified by their usage.

I take D3 and have tried to figure out via the internet how much to
take and failed. What are the guidelines? I don't know if I'm taking
too much or too little.

You should ask your Dr. to test you. There is no one size fits all.
Daughter and I were tested and told to take 2,000 units in addition to what
we already take. Sorry, can't remember if that is milligrams or micrograms.
I already get some in my multiple and also in my calcium. Keep in mind that
we live in an area that normally gets very little sun. If you are out in
the sun a lot you may need less. But you also might need more.

Shogun 25 mpg urban, 28 mpg distance
Pajero 23 mpg urban 25 mpg distance

Not much in it.

Whatever the load, or whatever distance towing, makes no difference
whatever

They seem very popular around the areas we go.

Yes, sunblock will inhibit D3 absorption - but that's something I'm
willing to wear considering how the sun beats up on our skin.

My doctor told me to take 1500 per day but they don't make them in that
size so I bought 2000s. She also told me to get out in the sun more.

Last November I put on a set of Nokian WRG3 tires on. They have a real
snow rating and yet are year round capable, even to speeds over 140 mph.
Best tires I ever had. They were designed for year round use in North
America.

Most of New England has good snow plowing though. If I can get out of
my driveway, I can drive most anywhere with decent tires.

I take 2000 units a day. Haven't had a cold in years.

You only need 15 minutes of sun a day. I'd take a 2000 one day and 1000
the next.

I've been trying to sit outside for about that amount of time per day,
sometimes it doesn't work out. I'll be getting my bloodwork done again
soon, so I'll have to see if the D value went up from taking this. It
was extremely low.

He needs something to do and "deciding" is a good one for him because
he's all thumbs and every one of them is brown.

I thought that sitting next to a sunny window counted until I saw the
video I posted about UV. Turns out it's the same for vD. You need to
be outside with your skin exposed (no sunblock) for 10-20 minutes when
"your shadow is shorter than you are" according to this web site.

Diesel anything is the bomb, the locomotive torque is hugely addicting,
as too the insane high mileage!

Mazda reportedly will over a diesel in their 6 series this fall - should
be wonderful.

If you can find a gas station that sells diesel.

My only experience with a diesel was in a VW Rabbit which was totally
underwhelming. I think the Vauxhall might have had 2 turbos and an
intercooler so it was kind of a big bomb. Most impressive!

Are you in a snowy clime?

The ones I have lived in saw a rush to the tire stores in later October.

That's good old diesel for you!

America lags in this area, quite a bit.

We only got low sulfur diesel standards very recently.
