Costco has these huge boxes of large frozen lobster tails. When I was
so sick for several years and couldn't keep anything down, I said to my husband that if I ever got better I was going to buy the 5-pound package of lobster tails (likewise, shrimp) I love seafood. Well, I've had the shrimp several times and my daughter just got me the box of lobster tails for my birthday. I now have 5 opportunities to try different ways to prepare lobster tail. (2 per meal) What do you do? Is simple the best? Grill? Broiler? Steam? The meals will be all about the tails -- probably French bread and a salad as sides. I appreciate your thoughts. Janet US |

Cut in half lengthwise and grilled brushing with melted butter a few times. Then a little touch of lemon at the table. A little chopped parsely in the butter is good too. --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Antivirus protection is active. http://www.avast.com |

The other method doesn't work on a grill, you'd need a broiler. For smaller lobster tails I cut it in half down tot he underside and then butterfly it open. One more thing, it helps to run wooden skewers down throw the tail to keep it from curling up. Makes it nicer looking and easier to cook. --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Antivirus protection is active. http://www.avast.com |

I don't think people steam lobster tails, that's for whole lobster. I prefer mine broiled or grilled and we do a small steak with them for surf & turf. That's when a twice baked potato is mandatory for me. ![]() -- Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them. |

Grilled, broiled, or boiled, all good simply with drawn butter and some squeezed lemon, but check out these possibilities: They're from the July, 2014 issue of Downeast Magazine (and I mean, who knows betta what to do wit lobstah that those Maine-ahs :-) ) http://www.downeast.com/lobster-feast/ (Lobster, mac 'n' cheese is perhaps Mrs. Beitel's all time favorite food.) -- Silvar Beitel |

Can't do chemo. I had a bag of platelets on Friday and by this morning platelets were lower than they were before Friday's infusion. I have to get a series of 5 shots to build them back up. Had one this morning and a bag of platelets this afternoon. After my blood comes back, hopefully this week, we see the radiologist and try to treat with radiation. I will be 68 on Wednesday and that's just too damn young to die. I have parts of the world I want to see. I have grandchildren at whose weddings I want to dance. I have friends who love me and need me in their lives. What drives me the most is that if I am dying, I will have to move back to New Jersey to be near the children. I don't want to leave the Lower Rio Grande Valley in Texas. I love it here. It's truly my home. -- From somewhere very deep in the heart of Texas |
