That is a very long time for it to still be a named storm. Usually it's
just subtropical or something after that long, but the conditions must
have been ripe for it to stay active for so long!

The big coastal rains in the eastern US is stalled as a "block." The weatherman explained blocks today, but since
I am in the Midwest, I didn't pay much attention.

It has definitely died down here now ... thank goodness Incidentally it
was named 'Hurricane'.
