Default briefcase grater

This might require more drawer space than I'd surrender, but it does
have a certain cool vibe to itself:

Constructed of silicone, stamped stainless steel and plastic, this
grater has a four cup capacity and two metal grate options for desired
coarseness. Not only is it BPA free, it can be placed in the dishwasher
to clean.

Hmm you may have mine I have an electric mincer/grinder which has grating
and slicing attachments. I think I will just stick with that

Good design is its own reward - and that looks useful to me.

As opposed to insanely overprice junk. Forty-nine dollars?
Seriously?

My mom has two of what essentially amount to the same type of grater.
Huge capacity for two different sized graters which grate, collect,
and/or store the shredded cheese. Her fave store? WW
(wallyworld=walmart). Even I had something similar which I tossed
when I moved. Ikea? Whatever. I have no doubt I could replace it
for under $10.

FWIW, $15. $49 is the free shipping level.

No, that was the amount to get free shipping - the unit price was $15.00.

Ikea has some very cheap kitchen tools, both in cost and quality, imo.

I go to Wal Mart for basics like Pyrex, foil pans, plastic tumblers, etc.

I think it's a cutesy childish design... an ordinary all SS box grater
doubles the grating options and is far easier to clean (paying for all
that extraneous plastic is silly too, and probably won't last long).
Even variously configured paddle graters make more sense... I have
several small ones that store inside my box grater. I place my box
grater into a bowl to catch whatever I'm grating, I use the slicing
side often, I'll be using it today for cuke salad and to slice zukes
lengthwise into strips. I also already harvested enough Swiss chard
to stuff an 8 qt pot cram full, it'll cook down... chard is easy to
grow and extremely prolific. My collards are doing very well too.
Harvested my garden early today, gonna be big rain soon. Hah, just
looked out the window, POURING!!!

Land-o-cheap prices. I mostly use Gulden's Spicey Brown Mustard, last
week I noticed Walmart had their own brand (Great Value) of Spicey
Brown Mustard but it was about half teh price of Guldens so I bought
two. At home I checked, it's in exactly the same squeeze bottle,
bottle from the same injection mold, flash is precisely identical,
safety seal exactly the same, only the label is different. So I tried
it, it's the same as Gulden's. Actually I would prefer the old style
Guldens mustard jars but they no longer use that packaging, now they
use squeeze bottles, and I can understand why, the consumer uses more
mustard... I'm thinking to squeeze it all out into a jar.
