The cop will never see a day in jail. He'll never even see a court trial.
The police chief of that town appears to be a hard core bigot and the county DA has come out and said the governor had no authority to take the county PD off the case an said he shamed them. And he's the man who will file charges - or not. I am betting on not. You top posting scum!! See what you started? ;-)
A new man was brought in this evening to lead the law enforcement effort in Ferguson, and he made ALL the difference! Especially after last night's debacle!! :-) This issue is a lot bigger than just Michael Brown's killing. And STL has just made a good step in the right direction. John Kuthe... In the mean time, the US Attorney's Office will be investigating and issuing charges independently if anything is found to be amiss... so the local yokels could be caught with egg on their face if they don't reflect most, if not all of the Federal charges (if any). -- Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them. |

My DD went to the South (MO or MS - I don't remember) as part of her community service one year in JH. It was so bad that there were actually white and black sides of a single street. She and a friend were stopped and admonished (nicely) by a well dressed, grandmotherly looking, black lady driving down the street, who told them they were on the wrong side and should be walking on the other side. The racial divide is very deep and whites don't appreciate uppity blacks. If you've noticed, Ferguson residents are *very* middle class. They are well dressed and speak proper English, nothing to belittle - but whites still do and it was well demonstrated by that incident. A police force that brings out an armored vehicle and machine guns to a peaceful demonstration is over reacting. How are 10-12 YO girls tap dancing in the street a threat? -- Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them. |

You're getting two different North St. Louis County shooting cases mixed up. Michael Brown was guilty of nothing more than jaywalking. The other guy who got shot probably deserved it. --Bryan |

The racial divide is very deep and whites don't appreciate > uppity blacks. Oh good lord. "don't appreciate uppity blacks"? What year are you talking about? I've lived in the south most of my adult life. I sometimes felt some racial tension in the Memphis area. But not from everyone. And it was mostly the blacks shutting out the whites. I used to buy my breakfast at a store down the street on the way to work. One of the black women practically shunned me (Pinkie, it said on her name tag). She'd just grunt and served me grudgingly. SHE had an attitude. Her co-worker, Vergie, didn't. So one day I cooked up a batch of red beans & rice with andouille sausage and took some in a container to Vergie. I figured she must get tired of eating the same old fried chicken, potatoes and greens every day. She thanked me and heated up the red beans & rice in the microwave. Vergie told me later Miss Pinkie said to her, that smells good. What is it? And Pinkie tasted it and said "Dayum! Dat shit is *good*!" From then on, Pinkie was nice to me when I came in to order breakfast. Now... way down here in SC? Sorry, but no one is still trying to fight the Civil War. The people here are very friendly. They go out of their way to talk to you (and no, I'm not talking about The Club). People don't get shot just for walking down the street around here. So please don't try not to generalize "southern attitudes". Jill |

They were 100 feet from his house walk-in towards it. The copy said "get the **** onto the sidewalk" and apparently the murdered kid said "we're almost where we're going." Cop didn't like that and decided to teach the punk ass a lesson about messing with his bad ass. When the boy pulled away then he pulled his weapon and apparently he fired a round into the vehicle by mistake. So far two more witnesses have come foreward and pretty much corroborated original witness. And they are very credible. Neither say the murdered young man had his hands inside the vehicle. Face it, white cops execute black people. Happens all the time. Four times this month alone if you include the executed cigarette seller. --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Antivirus protection is active. http://www.avast.com |

Probably from whatever news channel preaches your gospel. Not every place in the southern US has hostility between races. I'm not saying it never happened, of course it has. I'm saying where I live now it's not at all a prevalent thing. FYI and OB Food: people who live in the south also don't boil vegetables to mush or deep fry everything we can get our hands on. One great story though as to the community unity: Locals went in to either a tire or muffler shop (likely the latter) and took the keys off the wall for cars inside, moved the cars, then came back the next day to return them.
