I tried lemon juice and it didn't seem to do much.
This says vinegar will work... Now, I smell like vinegar. http://www.prevention.com/food/cook/...epare-avocados |

The pit thing is nonsense except it keeps air from where it's sitting, it's not going to help the cut part. Not that I have advice. I've had luck with guacamole by floating a thin layer of lime juice on it in a container. Perhaps you could press plastic wrap to the surface immediately after cutting and adding lemon juice/whatever. Me, I never have that problem. Cut it? Eat it. nancy |

If my leftover half of a cut avocado discolors before it's, it's only slight so IMO Gus is a Pooh incarnation - only a lot dumber. -- Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them. |

I've recently discovered half a 'cado will age (turn brwn) no more or no less than leaving the untreated/unwrapped 'cado on the kitchen counter, overnight. So, in all cases, I jes slice off that thin layer of brn 'cado, remove seed, and carry on. nb |

He's just mad that I won't pat his fat his ass and kiss it the way so many here do. He's also mad that I talk to posters he doesn't like. That's the control freak in him - it drives him stark raving mad. Neener neener Yappy! If he had an ounce of self control, I'd be in his kill file and he'd never see me, especially when I'm in an exchange with someone else who should be in his kill file too. Boy does it set him off. LOL! It's cheap one way entertainment. I don't see him froth at the mouth unless he's quoted or he really loses it and morphs to escape *my* kill file. That's when you can see how he was as a child and he was not likable then either. ![]() -- Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them. |

I've love avocadoes but prefer just a half at a time, and I've tried the tricks people mention, but like you say all seem to have about the same result. |

I have to wonder what he's like in RL. Do his neighbors avoid him when he walks down the street? What does he do for a living? How does someone become so bitter and... well, odd. The fact he doesn't kill file or ignore people he claims to detest so intensely is suspicious. He seems to get some weird pleasure from being an ass. And when I post a food related question, it just seems to **** him off all the more. Weirdo. |
