Recharging is very close to free, about a penny of electricity to charge
five AA batteries (the plural of battery).

Oh, too bad. I love blue cheese and only recently have become
enthusiastic about olives (hated them when I was younger). But I guess
we can all think of things we like that don't go that well together. I
think I'll be visiting a deli next week in Ohio that will have them.
I'll beg for a sample.

Thanks.,

Yes, it seemed like it would be a really good fit, and I'm sure it is to
many, I just didn't think they were especially good. If you get a chance to
taste them, let us know how you like them.

I was gifted with a Walkman and rechargeables in the 80's. Maybe they have
changed rechargeables since but they were a PITA then. Batteries are cheap
these days if you buy them at Costco.

I had lunch recently with a friend who says she never orders anything
with cheese in a restaurant (especially blue cheese) because she hates
eating cheap cheese... we were in a very nice restaurant at the time,
but she sent the salad back that came sprinkled with the blue cheese
she'd told them to leave off. I would have just scraped it off and
eaten the salad anyway - but she didn't.

OK, so I'm in southern Ohio with a couple of sisters, my wife and
bro-in-law. Picked up a quarter lb tub of olives stuffed w. blue cheese,
a tub of feta stuffed olives (my wife's fave) and a tub of garlic
stuffed (my old favorite olive). I like the blue cheese the best ...
apparently I'm not alone. The blue cheese is going the fastest, followed
by the feta, and it seems the garlic will be the last to go.

I can get my hands on olives and blue cheese, but I've never seen blue
cheese stuffed olives. I may try to make my own when I get back to
Arkansas. It seems worth a try.

Regards,
Dave

Dave, you describe yourself as an Ozarks person. I do too, even though I'm
born and bred in St. Louis. Where are you from in the Ozarks?

Bryan, I'm up in the northwest corner ... in Fayetteville. Originally
from Ohio .... but I expect to be here for the duration, however long
that might be.
