Default Free food today.

I got my QFC coupons a few weeks ago and decided to use them today. I have
shopped at Kroger owned stores far less than I used to. I used to get Fred
Meyer coupons when I bought clothing and shoes for daughter and also
gardening things there. I prefer those as they are more generic such as
$2.00 off of produce or a certain dollar amount off of any order.

I also used to fare better with the freebies at QFC. Today all I got was a
pound of baby carrots which we really don't need as nobody seems to be
eating them any more, and a 30 oz. jar of Best Foods mayo. I had to pick
something other than the regular as they were sold out. I got the light. I
will be donating it either to that person I know or the food bank.

I did get some good bargains on clearance items. Mostly little cans of
various Mexican sauces. I can't really buy any more non-perishables now as
my shelves are totally full. So my shopping should be easy. Just meat,
produce and bread.

You "got" a free pound of baby carrots, but nobody eats them anymore? If I read that right, I have
to ask, what is wrong with you??

What's wrong with her you ask? It's Julie. She runs on a cerebral deficit.

Not sure it has a name yet.

Make carrot salad with those baby carrots and add raisins and chunk pineapple with the dressing of your choice. After completing this dish throw it in the trash so your trip to the store and won't be wasted.

At least one of those ingredients will be unBoveworthy...

I can always give them away. But I stand corrected. Somebody did eat all
of the others that I had. So I guess they went off of them for a time. I
prefer sticks or chips.

Most people I know do eat them. If I can get free things that I won't use
but I know others who will, I give to them. I know a person who needs food
and is not picky.

Yikes! No. And what is wrong with getting free food when I know people who
need it? I would have given this person the carrots but someone did eat the
other bag that was in the fridge so apparently they are being eaten again.
I don't need the mayo either but will be giving it away.

This person is in constant need of food. She works but not full time and
can't really do that either. Her husband has a lot of medical problems,
needs constant care and can not work. She and her adult son trade off,
caring for him. Any food that I give to her is very much appreciated. I
can't afford to buy them food but I will look for freebies that I can give
to them.

Except that balers are for crushing recyclable cardboard, not food.

Whereas you have "a lot of medical problems," and have managed to convince
the Social Security folks that you "can not work," while you run around
shopping and transporting TIAT to dance events. You could easily do a desk
job because you are always on newsgroups complaining about your myriad of
"medical problems." You should stick with your own kind, confine yourself
to NGs about being a physical mess and having all kinds of foods that you
and your mess of a family can't or won't eat.

I'd put all those carrots through my meat grinder for carrot
cake/muffins.

That would work but I doubt they'd get eaten. We don't do a lot of baked
goods here. The blondes that I made are still sitting there. I should go
dump them. Has been over a week now.
