![]() Found some grassfed ground beef in the used meat bin for half price. Before I knew it, they jumped in my cart and were on their way home with me. Dinner was a green chili burger with some chopped onion and Queso Enchilado. OHGosh, was it wonderful. https://flic.kr/p/p38Eou koko -- Food is our common ground, a universal experience James Beard |

Between you and what I find on the internet in general, I have far too many recipes that I want to try right now. Tragic story: I had plans for peri peri chicken dinner tonight. One thing led to another and my meal turned into peri peri chicken sandwiches (which were delicious). -- Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them. |

I worry with any of these diets that going 100% can lead to unpredictable health imbalances. I'm still trying to imagine having a burger served just between bib lettuce leaves - it works fine for Asian lettuce wraps of course but I can't make the leap past the bun yet. |

I have no idea why the Koreans would do something like this. Sometimes they'll substitute raw squid. My wife said her mom used to put some small fish in hers. She loved her mom's kim chee although I don't recall ever trying it. I was scared of her cooking. :-) > > -- > > Food is our common ground, a universal experience > James Beard > |

Fish sauce is a good pre-fermented substitute. Korean fish sauce isn't the same as SE Asian fish sauce, but close enough so the usual Thai/Vietnamese fish sauce should work fine. |
