Default REC: Pupusas

Pupusas were being discussed here, they sounded interesting so I
decided to make some. As I was making them, I had a deja vous moment,
darn, if I haven't made these before, then it hit me, yes I did. Years
ago I made something very similar but we called them huaraches, they
had a filling like the pupusas but were also topped with beans,
cheese, lettuce onion and crema.
These I kept true to the Salvadoran way. They are delicious, I served
them with my "kickin' screamin'" hot sauce and some red onions I
pickled.

Here's the recipe I used. It took more water than the recipe stated.

Lovely as always.

Pickled red onions make so many things better, be it tacos or even a
brisket sandwich!

And they never clash with a good Bahn Mi either.

I like Papusa, but I only get it on my Ba-Birthday.

Good job!

Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them.
