Default Gordon Ramsay's Sticky Ribs

Another video where he's simply instructing, not acting like an ass:

Gordon Ramsay's Sticky Ribs:

I'd have to do some special shopping to make this recipe. Notice he's
using what we in the US call "country-style" ribs. Those I can easily
find and they're often on sale. Ginger root is also easy to find.
Whole star anise, nope. Still, the ribs look and sound like they'd be
delicious.

The star anise can probably be found in a health food or co-op type
establishment -- at least that's where I get mine. Lovely stuff.
I imagine that such a store is a bit of a trek from you.

A trek? You betcha. More likely I'd do mail order from Penzey's or the
Spice House and wind up with a lifetime supply. LOL

Actually, a kind rfc'r with easy access to an international market and
an overabundance of star anise is going to send some to me.

Hvaing seen that recipe here yesterday, we had some pork ribs in the
freezer, (and everything else in the pantry) so John made it for lunch
today. It's delish.

Thanks for verifying it doesn't just look and sound good but *is* good.
I love those types of ribs and they often go on sale.

I wouldn't sacrifice my baking pan to that. Use a cast iron skillet.

I probably will use cast iron. I haven't thought far enough ahead about
the type of baking pan. Then again I don't have a gas stove like he
does so I'll have to adapt to browning it first stovetop on electric.
I'm sure I can manage.
