A lot of the Keurigs have problems with the water pumps and the water
metering. Don't expect them to last very long and you'll be OK - or not.
All I know is that they make a great cup of coffee fast. I consider that
to be valuable in my life.

Sounds like you're saying that your husband is the greatest achievement
ever in the history of mankind. Who the heck are you married to - Bruce
Willis? :-)

I'm not familiar with a Keurig, but if it does all sorts of gimmicky
stuff then I agree. Looking at the pic, it looks exactly like the sort
of machine I would avoid. I like French presses but prefer a decent
espresso machine, such as my Rancilio Silvia - a basic but commercial
grade machine scaled down for home use. Bought mine second hand nearly
7 years ago and it hasn't missed a beat, and it gets used 2 to 3 times
a day. You can buy parts for them no problem and not overly
complicated to repair yourself if need be. At some point I'll have buy
a gasket kit for it, but still no sign of that being necessary. They
last a lifetime and end up being a hell of a lot cheaper than
replacing your machine every few years.

I love my French Press! Aside from the lovely coffee it produces, I
don't have to do a thing because my husband makes it for me!

The longer the delay, the less to recall. Chances are, a few hundred
thousand of them are trashed every year as they get older and wear out
or otherwise break.
