Here they go again.
![]() Grilled Ham and Cheese Served on Wheat Choice of Side $7.50 French Dip Hot Roast Beef with Au jus on a Kaiser Roll Choice of Side $9.75 Blue Plate Omelet Ham and Cheese Omelet Choice of Side $9.00 Who ever interpreted a "blue plate"[special] as an omelet? I won't be having lunch at the club. I will be picking up some of the signature crab bisque soup and probably some steak at the "shop to use the assessment" thing tomorrow morning. The soup du jour is "Kansas City Steak". I can surmise that will be one of the quarts of soup offerings at the sale tomorrow. I wouldn't buy any. Looking up recipes for it, it's basically either made with ground beef or made with cubed round steak. It wouldn't be worth $20-$22 a quart. I wouldn't pay that much for "homemade" chicken noodle, either. The crab bisque, OTOH, I'll buy. I can't be bothered making crab soup at home and theirs is delicious. Jill |

I wish they'd learn that it's not "with au jus". |

An omelet is a tasty and satisfying meal. Americans ate egg dishes for dinner all the time, until the heart attack panic set in. Omelets were a regular part of our Friday night rotation when I was a child. |

I think of that as meat and several vegetables arranged on a platter. MaryL |

Yes, we have to pay the assessment no matter what. That's why I'm going to buy some crab bisque, some petit filets and probably a couple of NY strip steaks. I'll look at what other soups they have but I draw the line at whatever it is they're calling 'Kansas City Steak Soup'. Hey, it might be delicious, but looking at recipes online made me lose interest. > Are > there other fees tacked on that are not covered by the assessment, such > as taxes? They tack on a 20% service charge/gratuity for take-out meals and dining in meals, but I don't think they do for the annual clearing out the fridge event. Jill |

Potato and green bell pepper omelet here tonight, very tasty and satisfying... four diced spuds, two big diced green bell peppers, and a dozen eggs... half for lunch tomorror or... New year dinner was supposed to be roast fresh ham but there was none so it will be saw-seege, fettucinni, and home made tomato sauce. I already got the bottle of Champagne in the fridge, just gotta stay awake long enough... in case I am indisposed Have a Happy and Healthy New Year Everyone! |

I probably won't make it until midnight. At the risk of going off-topic, I'm trying to get Lyrica out of my system. I recently doubled my dose at the advice of my doc who said I could take the max dose per day for my neuropathic pain and after a couple of weeks at 100mg 2x a day I was sleeping all day. Work days I'd sleep late and get calls from my manager wondering if I was getting online for important meetings, weekends I would miss entire days. i got online for side effects of Lyrica and sure enough, lots of stories about people who would sleep all day if not interrupted. Back to just a single dose at bedtime until I see my surgeon in january. What a horrible side effect if you have to actually get out of bed now and then. -- ღ.¸¸.œ«*¨`*œ¶ Cheryl |

Hmmmm- can you send me a dose for my next overseas flight? I hate jet lag worse than a trip to the dentist. Sorry for what (didn't) happen to your cats and I hope you can get that med adjusted. Doctors never seem to think about ppl's weight when prescribing. I'm assuming you are on the petite side. |

And it has been many years so there are probably parts of this story that I don't remember. He was a fisherman and was often away. And she divorced him not long after that incident because he really could be an ass. |
