Yup. Still sell them here and I have gotten them a few times. They
work in some things. The main nice thing is you can have them handy if
you do not shop often so do not have fresh ones ready to use.

For now I am making up 2 recipes (weekend cooking, planned leftovers
for the week) and neither are seafood based but if I had a fast munchie
desire, I'd use those if handy. They are neither great, nor terrible.
They are a notch above canned ones but i don't knock canned ones if
that is what is around in a landlocked area.

We use snows canned clams all the time to upscale a tuna salad. Works
for us!

So does Publix; I can't recall the brand but they are frozen mussels in
the shell.
