No Bologna! Oscar Mayer Wienermobile Crashes Near Harrisburg

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) €“ The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will be off the road
for a while.

The truck slammed into a pole near Harrisburg today.

No one was hurt, but the truck is pretty banged up, including a smashed
windshield and serious damage to the front of the €œbun€� fender.

Oscar Mayer has several €œwienermobiles,€� all shaped like a hot dog bun.

I actually saw one of them while driving through Georgia.

I saw one on the beltway of DC once 40 years ago. It was pretty
cool...a giant hotdog on a bun driving down the road at 65mph.

Weren't those whistles once made of metal? Or am I dreaming?

I can only find die-cast toy wienermobiles (not the whistles) on eBay.
