When Facebook first rolled out, it was limited to people with .edu
email addresses. There was already Friendster, Xanga, and Myspace.

We have a clump of sorrel growing in the back yard for years now. Easy

I resisted FB for a long time because people said it was a way to hook up
with high school friends. None of my good high school friends are on there.
I have hooked up with people that I did go to school with but they were not
really friends or not close ones. Odd that I talk to them now more than I
did then.

Not really. We weren't into the same things in high school. Didn't go to

I was looking at some old school photographs recently and I can see
people who have been named yet I cannot remember them. Some I can
remember from their faces, some from their names. My grade 4 teacher
still looks exactly as I remember her yet I haven't seen her since about
1962.
What you will find however is that these linkages to the past, the
mention of a name, a class photograph, a familiar face, all will trigger
memories and your mind will relink these and then trigger other
memories. Hopefully those triggered memories will be good ones.

Campbells is a USA company. Good batches are sold in the USA, bad
batches are exported to foreign countries that have issues with
Americans. We don't care about them as they already prehate us
anyway.

Try this sometime.
Take a can of Campbells Chicken Noodle Soup.
Put in a blender to puree the noodles into it.
Refridgerate for a few hours.
Once cold, instead of adding a can of water to it,
Add one can of a good gin.

Pour into glasses with an ice cube or two and enjoy.
If you don't like it at first, trust me, it gets better the more you
drink.

Nothing is wrong with rfc. What you need to do is killfile trolls
and spam. And not everything interests everyone, and when
something does spark a discussion on cooking or whatever, try to

Default What's wrong with rfc

I am a newbie lurker of sorts.

I can't see anything right about this group. I can't even see what it's
purpose is.

It clearly isn't about food much
Definitely not about the culinary arts or fine cooking
Not a friendly place at all.
Seems to be exclusively for USA based posters only which is odd, this
being the internet
Sometimes I have read posts which make me think this is a group for
people with eating disorders, where you can come to share obsessive food
fantasies, but only sometimes.

Generally astonished at the high level of abuse and the low level of
knowledge and discretion. Bizarre.

Hi Tim. I am in UK too and I agree with what you say. There are some nice
people here who are interested in food and cooking. Please talk about food

This Timmy certainly hasn't any culinary knowledge to share. Perhaps
he'll fit in with the contingency that spends every minute of their
lives here but contributes nothing but the minutia of their personal
lives and slamming each other and Walmart. Years ago people would
read the how-tos regarding usenet but now they just dive into the pool
without so much as a howdy, with nothing good to say, and nothing on
topic to share. These days too many go under several monikers so I
don't trust or respect any of them.

The intent is obvious from the name, but the reality from actual
postings is far different. As much of a hangout where many topics are
discussed.

Most newsgroups do have the vast majority of posters from the USA, some
from Canada, fewer from the UK and other places. Everyone is welcome,
but participation from other countries is slim. The English language is
probably a barrier for some too. You are welcome to post in your
native tongue, but don't expect much in the way of replies as there are
few bilinguals here.

What do you call a person that speaks three languages? Trilingual

What do you call a person that speaks two languages? Bilingual

What do you call a person that speaks one language? American

We have had and do have members from Europe, South Africa, Australia,
Central American, Orient. They are a small number compared to the US.

Well, she's probably long gone by now but the OLD photo still looks
exactly as I remembered her. It's the first photo of her I have seen in
the past 53 years. In other words, my memory of her is intact, including
that she was an old dragon too!

The "kids" like their own space. Always have. It is the nature of kids.
What you want to do is get them to come into your world when they grab a
bit of maturity at, say, 25 years of age.

What other name... Gregory Morrow has been here long, LONG before you
and has always used the same name.... used to be a regular who posted
every day but for whatever reason now he lurks and posts now and
again. Do you even know who Khrushchev was... he was my father... he
