________________ Penzeys Spices Home Science is as American as Apple Pie. This Pi Day (3.14.15) Celebrate both with 2 free jars of Apple pie spice--one to share and one to keep. Now through March 23rd with any $5 purchase. Just bring this coupon to one of our stores or visit our website and type in the code "Science" at the shopping cart page once you have reached $5 in spending. It really is easy. This year we are encouraging you to share your extra jar with someone you know who works in the fields of science-based reality and/or the math behind it. If for no greater reason than the reality of climate change alone, we need to let our people of science know how much we appreciate them and support them in all their efforts. And when it comes to support, words are good but pie is even better. If you are looking for pie recipes and other circular treats for Pi Day come visit our website. This week we are featuring kind cooks who work with science and numbers and have tasty treats to share. They are good people. -- Feel free to forward this email to a friend. Support your local Scientist! Bill ________________________________ ENJOY! If you email me, I will forward the email with the coupon, regardless of any disagreements between myself and any of you. --Bryan bryangsimmons <at> gmaildotcom |

Right. So, what you're suggesting is that the saying 'american as apple pie' came *before* the apple pie, emigration to america in general, or any non-american having anything to do with apple pies. >Go figger. Good shot! I think you've managed to include 95% (or more) of the US population with that observation on stupidity. I would think at least a teeny portion of those people make informed decisions? I am an occasional QVC shopper and a user of Prime. You've not considered choice, size, availability, cost comparison, ease of procuring item, delivery service, etc. Before I go out the door I've already been online, checking major retailers plus Amazon, Costco and QVC. Most often I will find that I can't get what I specifically want at a local store. Janet US |

Hard to believe. At some holiday seasons Penzeys offers free shipping with no minimum but otherwise free shipping is with a $30 minimum.. pretty easy to reach $30. I don't ever remember having an order under $100.... I go through their catalog and fill in their order form with what I need and then phone in my order... as much as I try to cut back it's very easy to reach $100. |

I have more important things to do with my time, gas money, wear n' tear on my vehicle, not to mention the risks inherent to driving, and Amazon's prices are considerably lower than most brick n' mortars. I hate going to the maul... I enjoy having my purchases delivered right to my door. And in all the years I['ve been buying all kinds of stuff from Amazon onlyone time did I need return something, and without any effort or expense on my part, they immediately email a shipping label while I'm on the phone and arrange for UPS to pick up... the only item I ever had to return was a large pot (20 qt ss brazier) that arrived without its lid, and after checking I was told they had no more lids for that pot. http://www.amazon.com/Update-Interna...F6K38DMN 3J72 |

It can be a good deal though, if you order enough from them. Not only do you get "free" shipping, you have access to a lot of movies, TV, games that your family may or may not use. We are able to order some medical supplies from them at about the same price as the local shop. The difference? The local shop has to order them and it takes a week to get it. Once they have the items, it is a 15 mile round trip to get it home. At 55 cents a mile, or $8.25 The option is one click, delivered here in two days and 1/10 of the Prime is covered. I also ordered two HDMI cables for $5 each. Cheapest I see locally is $15. Ebay has them cheap too, but I was already at Amazon. Not a bargain for everyone but it can be. |

I factor that in for a specific purchase. I'm not saying everything is cheaper. I don't watch QVC every day or every hour. Often it is happenstance that I am at that channel. I got the best deal on my Tracfone from them. I got a cell phone for less than was available elsewhere plus I got 1300(phone, text, data each) minutes and a year's worth of service -- all for the price of the phone. (Did you know that you can purchase name brands from them?) You gotta use your head whether you are in the brick and mortar or online. Janet US |

Not everything ships in the 2 day time frame. Sometimes it says something like 6 days. More recently I ordered some Fancy Feast Broths cat food. It has the disclaimer that it ships within 2-4 weeks when in stock. More than 4 weeks has gone by. It hasn't shipped. I contacted them and they don't have it. I had ordered the two chicken flavors as the price is considerably less than the other flavors they are selling or the price I can get anywhere else. Plus I am having trouble finding the chicken anywhere. There are only a few stores around here that sell it and if they do have it, it is only a few pouches. |

I listen to music in my car and once in a while on Youtube if for some reason I want to hear a specific song. I accidentally downloaded a song to my phone. I thought I was downloading a ringtone. I had some free Amazon music codes at some point in time but I never used them and never would. |

I probably don't need the 2 day shipping now. I did need it last year when I needed things like medical supplies and I had no way to go out and get them. |

I order a lot from them and only had trouble once, a video game for a friends grandson, and that was because there was a problem with the plane that didn't get there in time to get it here from somewhere back East. They gave me a 15.00 credit, so can't complain. Cheri |
