Most of the old ones have stories attached to them. If I think about it, I'm going to check on that. Janet US |

You're wasting your time if you think she'll ever trim her posts. |

Her posts basically read like a normal person's posts. Paul Cook noticed the same thing at the time too. Wondering if she's pulling the same stunt on other groups or forums under other identities, and occasionally mixes the personas up a little. |

OMG! This is my real name and I have always used it on all newsgroups. Not that I post to a lot of them. I don't post to very many forums. I do read some. In general I don't care for moderated forums. Even though I used to moderate one myself, that one had very loose parameters and pretty much anything went there which sadly, caused its demise. I have no clue what you are talking about in terms of my persona. I don't bait people and I do try to be nice but I won't be pushed around either. I have told people to FOAD. It does usually take a lot to get me to that point. |

Well Julie, you wanted to SLAP me around and I will not forget that...so you'd better be nice for a change to make up for that outrageous behavior on your part. I try to be reasonable too and would never contemplate violence against yourself or your loved ones. Try and make your postings shorter in length...might help. Also a page or too fewer details would really improve things. ===== |

You posted my reply to Ed. Not the rest of the conversation. You yourself said that I posted it a year ago. I can't remember what all I posted a year ago. But bottom line is still that you took something that I said and turned it into something else then claimed that I said that instead. This is all just totally ridiculous! Why does this newsgroup seem to be all about me? *I* didn't make it that way and it it just seems to keep happening. Jill put up a post about lamb and dragged me into it, ending it all with a barb aimed at me and implying that the only stuff I ever serve comes from cans. Not that plants. I know that you don't value my opinion and all but... When you can't find a certain plant in your area, it's usually because that plant is not suited to the area. I have never tried to grow that particular tomato but in general, the ones that do best in cooler climates are those that are smaller and grow quickly such as cherry, or Early Girl. |

My kf is bursting at the seams because of the bullies and if it were not the fact that there are some kind souls here, I would have been long gone. I have seen some nasty groups but never have I known one as bad as this. Why am I here? Because some people actually talk about food and I pick up some nice recipes. But for them, there would be no point reading here. It seems that some people are only here to find reasons to talk down to others and to pick on them. If that were not true why do they read the stuff that they say they hate? When I defend people, it is not that I applaud what they do, it is to try and stem the tide of cruel and vicious invective and ad hominems it invokes. As I said, I believe that is the only reason some are here. It seems cooking comes a poor second. Is this normal behaviour for Americans? I am making no accusations, it is a genuine question. I know there are sick Brits, you can see it here, but I have never seen it on this scale with so many involved. http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/shop/ |

Instead, she steps it up. But if that is not acceptable, why does anyone read let alone respond. There is most certainly a remedy for the kind of behaviour you object to. Ignore the posts you dislike and they will stop. No one will continue to post if they are consistently ignored. So many people do respond, it is obvious they do like them - or at least they love the opportunity it affords to spew out their venom. They enjoy it! I filter those I dislike if I can but sometimes I am surprised when a person I rather liked starts to be nasty. I would not have seen these posts had people I liked not made comments. It just seems that no matter what someone posts about cooking, someone has some snotty remark about it, so it sort of takes away the inclination to post about food in some cases. I don't killfile, but I do put some posters in colors, so I can easily skip them when I see where it's going. :-) Cheri |

But you hit the nail on the head; she lives with a group of whiny slobs and the only attention she receives at home is criticism. She comes here to troll to seek further attention but receives more of the same she gets at home because of her behavior. They're probably as sick of her ramblings as we are. When people here ask for cooking advice I gladly offer the best I know but Julie never asks for cooking advice, what she does is relate her life experineces without ever asking for advice, people offer advice although none was requested. The best way to deal with the Bove is to read her posts *carefully* and realize that she's not asking for assistance and then offer none. |

She is notorious for quoting the people who are best ignored so that plonking them is a waste of time without chucking her into the twit filter with them. |

This is a smart thing because these posts are going to be around for a lot longer than your average blog sites. |

Mrs Bucket has to be close to being the greatest hypocrite to ever inhabit RFC. A big claim, I know... but I stand by it. You can take her comment and watch her contradict them in the past - now - and into the future. And what other poster on this group naturally gravitates towards the blatant trolls like she does? All they have to do it not use profanities, and she's quite content... figure that one out... In all the time that we had to put up with that casa boner troll here, she kept a dialogue going with it and seemingly had no problem with the disruption caused. |
