Cooking two dishes in oven at same time?
No, this is not a troll, just a simple question. Although I have been
doing a lot of cooking for a lot of years, still I have questions about things I have never done. Usually if I make a roast in the oven I will simply toss in some potatoes to bake, and I don't have to find room for another baking dish. For Easter, I made ham and scalloped potatoes. (My wife made asparagus and salad.) The ham and pan took up the width of the oven, and I hesitated to stick the pan of scalloped potatoes below the ham. So as it happened I wrapped the ham in foil while I baked the pan full of delicious cheesiness. But could I have put the pan of potatoes underneath the ham so they would have gotten done at the same time? |
