Default Mother's day dinner

She is not my mother, but I cooked my wife a nice dinner tonight if I do
say so myself. I picked up some filet mignon for the two us us. I
thought they might be a little skimpy, so I also got some nice big
shrimp that I marinated in a nice spicy sauce. Also available today
were fiddle heads and fresh local asparagus.I could not decide which, so
I got both. I would have liked to have grilled the meat and shrimp on
the gas BBQ, but the filets were bacon wrapped, so I did them on the
cast iron grill pan. The filets needed to sit a while after grilling so
I did the shrimp on the grill pan after the steaks came off. I also made
a green salad with avocado to go with it. Blue cheese dressing for me
and her home made dressing for her.
