Default When free isn't really free!

And yes, I should have known to look for the fine print but I didn't.
Anyway... I've been doing My Coke Rewards for years now. Mostly I turn the
points in for free Coke products. So today I attempted to use a coupon for
a free 12 pack. The cashier said I couldn't use it because the coupon was
only good for up to $4.99 and the price of the soda was $6.29. What she
should have done was subtract $4.99 from my order. This has since been
confirmed with the manager over the phone. I had attempted to go to
customer service but there was a long line of people there, all looking at
their receipts with a puzzled look on their faces. They had only the one
cashier working and according to the manager, she hasn't been trained
properly. They did have the self serve registers but I dislike using those.

I don't think any store in this area sells a 12 pack of soda for less than
$4.99. Possibly Winco or Walmart. But I will at least look for a store
that sells it for less because I'd like it to be a close to free as I can
get!

Most coupons that offer anything free usually do have an *up to* amount
specified.

I know. But it's usually much closer to the selling price. Now at least
they are offering other gift cards like Amazon, Walmart and Target. I will
get those unless they are having a special on the others.

You shouldn't be drinking that junk, Julie, with all your health problems, nor should
anyone. But I think we have had this conversation before. Maybe it was a sign to
quit.

I am sure there are some good recipes that include both cola and kidneys.

It wasn't sugar water. It was diet soda and no, I would never pay that
price for it. I always stock up when on sale. Even if it was regular soda
it wouldn't be sugar. It would be HFCS.

No, not a sign. And I'll drink what I want! There is no proof that diet
soda could cause or even exacerbate any of my health problems.

There is no proof that diet soda doesn't cause or doesn't exacerbate any of
your health problems either but it may do so.

Have you done without for a month or so to find out? Possibly you are ADDICTED.

That's your opinion. I don't think that water is delicious. I think it is
pretty boring.

This is just another of her rants over prices for junk. 'didn't read the fine print' - I'd be ashamed to keep admitting that, but what can one expect from La Bove.

She living proof of Barnum's famous quote..

Yes, water is VERY boring. Basically flavorless. I drink water to
quench my thirst, NOT to taste anything. Provide my body with needed
hydration. Not tickle my taste buds. I'll use wine or good bourbon to
do that. Or like I did this evening, a nice rich cup of hot chocolate!
YUM!

I don't do liquor, dairy or even drinks with calories. And I am rarely
thirsty. I read somewhere that you should not feel thirsty if you are
consuming throughout the day properly.

My renals function adequately, and I like drinking plenty of water.
Keeps the metabolim working smoothly, and aids with everything. My
body excretes what's not necessary, and I don't mind peeing it out.
Gives me a chance to play with "my favorite toy"!

ShelDUM is very juvenily homophobic. Probably guilt from early
childhood homosexial games he played. I did, not ashamed to admit it
either. We knew we really wantged to play with girls, but all we had
was each other. We'd homo play (rubbing dicks), then talk about and
chagrin about wanting girls to sexually play with! Big deal. I've
never had ANY doubts about my vastly predominant heterosexual
orientatioin.

You read correctly, sounds like you're properly hydrated.
