HA! right! whoops! now that you mention it I see how naughty brats and sausage brats would be pretty much homonyms in the UK the "a" in naughty "brat" in the US is this flattened vowel that I don't believe exists in your hemisphere the IPA symbol is æ -- you can hear it he http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPA_vowel_chart_with_audio it's in the near-open row (second from bottom) on the left so throw another brattie on the barbie, mate! |
