We N. American women don't want to look like a man or a dike.
Armpit hair holds body odor no matter what type of deodorant
you use; armpit hair is awfully attractive when you've been
sweating like a horse, too. NOT. And leg hair is sooooo
attractive especially when it's plastered down when hose are worn.

Sorry, but many of us like the feel of our silky legs
after shaving not to mention we don't look like one of
the boys when we don't shave.

It could be conditioning, or maybe this is what women are accustomed to,
most women grow very little body hair.
