Default Dinner 6/2/15

I got a good deal on Italian sausage the last time I was at the store so
I cooked some more and sauteed yellow squash to go with it. This is the
squash, simply seasoned with S&P and a dash of garlic powder.

Looks good, we had squash the other night. I think it was grilled, or
what you call broiled over there?

Tonight I plan to crumb one of the steaks I cut from a leg of lamb,
plus a leafy avocado salad with a romano cheese dressing.

When I say grill I mean cooked on a Weber kettle over hot coals.
Broiled is something I do in the oven. I cooked this squash in a bit of
oil in a pan on the stove-top.

I like lamb steaks. I should add them to my shopping list.

Nice. I know it isn't to your taste, but I had fattoush salad for
dinner last night.

<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fattoush>

Romaine, mint, parsley, tomatoes, pita chips. The crisper drawer
is a little bare right now. The parsley and mint came from
my garden.

In addition to sumac, I use lemon juice in my dressing. And plenty
of raw garlic. Olive oil, S&P to taste.

We in Aus call either way grilled. I don't think I've ever heard
anyone here use the term 'broiled'. Until now... as I'll be broiling
my tomato, onion and cheese on toast shortly for breakfast

And it looks very nice indeed.

Can't go wrong with lamb IMO. So many different types of meals can be
made with it. I got some chicken thigh fillet out for dinner tonight.
I'll crumb them, I want to do something different with herbs/spices
this time, but haven't decided on anything in particular as yet.
