She's the one who mentioned it. And the way she mentioned it did not come

I rarely use salsa but when I do, any of the commercial brands taste

I don't need to pick the primer. I'm not buying the paint. I have chips.
I know what color family I want. I will ask Jesus if he thinks the color we
chose will be good. We are keeping the green trim but I'm easy on that.
Doesn't have to be the exact color. And I'm not brand loyal.

Okay. But I do trust the painter I have chosen.

He is going to do this. I can see his house from mine. I know that he
isn't going to screw up. He has painted and roofed houses up and down this
street and others around here. He also does siding and gutters and he will
be doing some of that here.
>
> Julie's response:
> "In this area, paint jobs don't last very long anyway."

What? I never said that at all! Paint jobs last a very long time here. We
don't get severe weather. I have no clue when this house was painted prior.
We've been here for 10 years and the paint is beginning to chip on the trim
around the garage door. But that's not the reason why we are getting it
painted. The soffit had to be replaced in several places and some of the
siding has rotted on the back house. Reason unknown in some cases. But due
to bufoonery on the part of a person who shall go unnamed but was not me in
the other instance. Angela was the one who spotted the buffoonery and
immediately reported it to me.

Power washer is good. Two coats is good. Also watch when the painter
gets out his spray equipment that he doesn't thin down the paint with
water. Thinning gives the painter more profit and a quicker job. The
job will fade and wash away quickly.

We don't have salt air here.

Agree. I can't even imagine someone doing that. I do speak my mind. And
I'm not always nice. But making drafts like that is seriously messed up.

We both know what she means. She is treating us as though we are stupid. I
also think that most people don't write letters and then go back later to
see if they are happy with them. Or messages. Proofreading? Yeah. But if
they really do what she claims she is doing, then I think they have a
problem.

You have said the same thing before, many times. But you see... Once
again, someone assumed that I needed help and tried to give it to me. If
you want to call that "blowing him off", then...whatever. I see offering
"help" when none was asked for as being rude. Obviously, if there were some
sort of emergency, that would be different. That's not the case here.

I mention my car, and people here tell me what I should have done
differently. I mention shopping and I am told that I could have done that
differently. And now I mention paint and I get the offer of suggestions.
In Gary's case, I don't think he was trying to be mean or rude. In the case
of some others, such as you, I know that you were. People here just seem to
think I am stupid and childish and are responding as such. Again...
Whatever.

I think that some folks just like the taste with a lower heat setting.

We do this with enchilada sauce all the time for guests.

Gary, wake up.

You are now under attack by the group trolls who have led you by the

Which one? "The file she's talking about is in her own memory" That one?
Now perhaps you can tell us where her cancel button is?

Just so you know, she has already explained her draft file ... and it wasn't
"in her own memory"

What do you expect? You should know by now that Bothell operates in
another reality to the rest of the world. Why should their paint be
any different? One day, scientists will invent an alternative to
paint, and make Bothell a better place to live.

That's probably a better idea, I might try that soon.
I often have a shot of bourbon along with one of my double lattes'.
A sip of bourbon and then a sip of coffee... goes together really
well.

I've never taken to salsa myself, never caught onto what is so great
about it, really. Maybe I haven't had a decent salsa, that's quite
possible.

It's called stucco.

Why? They are two different things and have two different uses. I know
that some people dip things into salsa. I usually don't. I use it more as
an ingredient. I used to buy two. Mild and hot. I used mild for what
Angela and I ate and if I wanted a little more heat to mine, I added the
jalapeno sauce. Now that she liked spicier food, I use medium for all.
Husband likes hotter but he has a hot sauce assortment that he can use.

In this area there is no pico de gallo that tastes good. It all kind of
reminds me of Rotel. Not that Rotel is bad but it is cooked. And if I want
pico de gallo, I want that nice fresh taste. I have also never had it mild.
But I have had it a bit too hot for me.

I used to say the same. Exception would be those with corn or beans in
them. Then I bought something at Big Lots. Oh boy was it bad! Tasted more
of vinegar than tomatoes.

Have you tried the Reser brand?

Why the need to write it? Although I guess people's brains process
differently. My thoughts come so quickly that I would have no need to think
them through and write them down. But I do know some people who seem to
have such difficulty in forming thoughts that it can take them three minutes
just to get one sentence out. And if I am not going to express myself to
someone in sentences, I don't even have to fully think the thing through. I
just know. Kind of hard to explain and if your brain doesn't work this way,
you won't get it.

But I did not say that. Somehow it got posted to look like he was quoting
me. In fact, the opposite is true. I can remember one of my husband's
relatives freaking when we said that we were buying a house. We were told
to get vinyl siding or we'd be painting every few years. This person lived
on PA. I gather that vinyl siding is the norm in that part of the country
or at least wished for. It's not often used here and probably isn't a good
thing to have because of the dampness.

But from what I can gather, the things that make paint not last are hail,
sun, extreme temps and perhaps heavy wind. We might get hail 1-3 times a
year and when we get that, it's usually over in a few seconds. Haven't had
snow to speak of for several years. Have far more overcast days than sun.
And our temps are rarely over 90 or much below freezing.

Many people do paint every 10 years or so, perhaps if only because they want
to change the color. But if you use a good semi-gloss or satin paint, you
can probably get 15-20 years out of it. You may only need to do touch up as
my mom did on hers to the soffit.

Because it is damp and shady here, it would behoove people to use that kind
of paint. I see that the trend is towards flat. I am bucking that trend.
Semi gloss is easily washable. Flat isn't.

Very uncommon here although I do know of one Spanish style house in Edmonds
that has it.

In your climate it would not be optimal, true.
