The United States Constitution serves as the law of the land for America
and indicates the intent of our Founding Fathers. The Constitution forms
a secular document, and nowhere does it appeal to God, Christianity,
Jesus, or any supreme being. (For those who think the date of the
Constitution contradicts the last sentence, see note 1 at the end.) The
U.S. government derives from people (not God), as it clearly states in
the preamble: "We the people of the United States, in order to form a
more perfect Union...." The omission of God in the Constitution did not
come out of forgetfulness, but rather out of the Founding Fathers
purposeful intentions to keep government separate from religion.

Although the Constitution does not include the phrase "Separation of
Church & State," neither does it say "Freedom of religion." However, the
Constitution implies both in the 1st Amendment. As to our freedoms, the
1st Amendment provides exclusionary wording:

Congress shall make NO law respecting an establishment of religion,
or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of
speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to
assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
[bold caps, mine]

Thomas Jefferson made an interpretation of the 1st Amendment to his
January 1st, 1802 letter to the Committee of the Danbury Baptist
Association calling it a "wall of separation between church and State."
Madison had also written that "Strongly guarded. . . is the separation
between religion and government in the Constitution of the United
States." There existed little controversy about this interpretation from
our Founding Fathers.

If religionists better understood the concept of separation of Church &
State, they would realize that the wall of separation actually protects
their religion. Our secular government allows the free expression of
religion and non-religion. Today, religions flourish in America; we have
more churches than Seven-Elevens.

Although many secular and atheist groups today support and fight for the
wall of separation, this does not mean that they wish to lawfully
eliminate religion from society. On the contrary, you will find no
secular or atheist group attempting to ban Christianity, or any other
religion from American society. Keeping religion separate allows
atheists and religionists alike, to practice their belief systems,
regardless how ridiculous they may seem, without government intervention.

Nope. Sheldon got it right. There is no one to blame but Julie and her
tales about her dysfunctional family. She had told us stories about hoe
picky they are, tales about how disgusting their behaviour it. It is a
common theme for her to come in and harp about her daughter. Then when
her own descriptions of them get thrown back at her the self righteous
get on their high horses and complain about the comments. We only know
about her daughter's atrocious behaviour because of Julie's accounts.
Then there are the claims that she is a dancer, along with her commnents
about the girl being disabled. I have seen pictures of the "dancer" .
Yeah... dancer. I bet. Picture a scene from Fantasia.

You know she won't. She just tossed that out in her usual attention
seeking style.... posing a question to deal with a problem that will
have no possible solution for her. There will be a problem with every
suggestion offered. It also gives us a sneak peek at the dysfunction in
her family that the food they will eat could be affected by the size of
the container if came it. She is trying to suck us into the vortex of
her dysfunction.

You actually had the misogynistic evil to say that Nigellas "asked for
it" when her ex husband tried to choke her in public.

You're subhuman REFUSE!

Julie has mentioned the daughter so bringing her up in some manner may
be fair game. But to start a thread and call the kid vile names just
shows how low people can go and shows their own self to be scum.

There are some limits in normal social behavior and it is often gone
beyond here. Freedom of speech? Sure, but that does not excuse bad
manners. Lipstick on a pig.

Every time anyone posts something here or any public forum, others form
an opinion of you. You control others opinions of yourself. Some
people sem to get off being nasty.

Yup, like The Donald I tell the untarnished truth, like his
competition and detractors they all lie thinking they *appear*
politically correct, but in reality they appear fools, even they know
they're fools... but they're so used to throwing their own mothers
under the bus they're inured to their folly. Julie is merely an
absess, a stye on an eye, but her public supporters are the real
malignant cancers, for they contribute absolutely nothing worthwhile
to a cooking/food Newsgroup... I still don't believe they know how to
cook.

Dunno but this is silly. SF bantered with 5 messages with no content
usable at all.

Best remote guess if she hates Sheldon and now is accusing him of
nymshifting but he isnt a shifter at all. He changed addresses about
15 years ago and that was all. ISP change related I think it was.

Thats why I finally decided to go Julie free zone here. It was the
time-suck and I wasn't finding time to read and reply to the rest of
the people here.

What is actuall amuzing is several castigated me for it. Oh well.
