I believe that I can answer that - no, it's not appropriate for grown
men (or women) to be commenting on other people's kids on a public
forum. Young boys do it all the time but there's something seriously
wrong with adults behaving like that. This, however, is the world we

serious mistake. The truth is that if you didn't want to talk behind

My recommendation is that you get crackin' if you want to find out the

It was this kind of nastiness that destroyed it but the main perpetrator
doesn't seem to manage so well here I have to say though, the regulars
here are much more robust and able to fight it. Most of our lot took
themselves off to Facebook. This lot gives it back ... with interest

Nonsense. Seems that whatever I post, someone will find fault with it or
twist what I actually said into being something else. Then there are the

Oh yes you do. A classic example was the many posts revealing their
heartless uncaring lack of personal and domestic support when you have
been laid up ill, for instance with a septic foot etc; told to keep it
elevated above your head.

In normal, loving families in that situation, a husband and teenage
daughter would take over all the domestic chores, shopping and cooking
between them, voluntarily, without having to be asked or told. They'd
know your dietary requiremants and serve tempting meals on a tray with
a smile, and not let you even THINK about meals, shopping, feeding them,
etc.

Exactly. And when we dare to refer to those horrible things that she
said about them people carry on about Julie being picked on and her
family being insulted. I have never made up anything about the husband
or daughter. I merely wrote about the things she had said about them. I
may have got confused about some of the details, but how am I supposed
to keep her stories straight when she manages to trip herself up with
her lies.

From what I can tell a pannikin is smaller than a tankard, coffee mug
sized at best. So (over here at least) it would be a tankard of beer
and a pannikin of rum - or Moscow Mule.
