No. That's not it at all. Same scenario as when I used to eat canned pears. If I were to buy a larger can, half more more would be tossed out. Why? I don't like pears enough or want them often enough to eat the whole large can before they go bad. Same situation here. Sometimes someone wants a little can of pears. And sometimes that person needs to take the pears with them. They are perfectly portable that way. Eat them and dispose of the can. Nobody in this house wants to be bothered taking a container of something somewhere and then bringing the container back home. You are free to do as you want. I don't understand why people here are so judgmental about things. |

I asked specifically if anyone else is having trouble finding this size of canned pears. Apparently, nobody here buys them at all. It wouldn't matter what I had said. Someone would have made something of it. I well know that I can buy pears in all sorts of can sizes. I am not stupid. That is the size that I wanted so that's what I asked about. Apparently I can't ask anything here, even if it is food related. People are going to make a big to do and tell of other things that I could be doing, as though I am stupid and can't figure things out. |

You should be asking YOUR STORE what THEIR issue is getting/keeping them in stock, not wondering what OUR pear situation is,as if there is some small can of pears conspiracy going on. You may be able to figure things out, but this post says otherwise. If I couldn't all of a sudden find a common food like canned pears, I sure as hell wouldn't ask RFC first. Ridiculous attention seeking at its finest. Ask your grocer why they aren't stocking them!! -- jinx the minx |

No. The deal breakers would be the price and the fact that those are very messy to open. They used to sell them at Rite Aid. Not sure if they still do or not. In trying to get the seal off of the top, the juice goes all over. |

That would only lead to more crap in the fridge that will eventually go moldy and need to be thrown out. You can do whatever you want in your house. I didn't ask anyone to solve anything for me. I specifically asked about a certain size of can. If I wanted to, I could buy giant cans of everything at Coscto! I don't want to. |

You can get cottage cheese here in 4 oz. and 8 oz. containers. I normally get a dozen of the 8 oz. at a time at the business Costco. Yes, they take up room in the fridge but they are much cheaper to buy this way and they usually will get eaten before they spoil. |

Not all stores have it but it's cheap at the business Costco. |

Sure, the pears will be sticking up, but totally doable. Or... You can be totally inventive and put some cottage cheese on your fork and then spear a pear. Yes, the eater of this concoction uses a fork for it. Not what I would do but... |
