Julie made sure that she would never be a princess. Because of her
parental neglect, the daughter was already queen sized at 13.

Apparently so. I see that someone has now started a thread about me.

My dinner tonight is some Spanish rice with no meat or veg in it beyond
tomato sauce, some ground beef simply cooked in chunks with a lot of white
onion, salt and pepper and tiny slivers of pie from PCC. They have vegan
pies! One is apple and one is strawberry rhubarb. I have had better. The
crust is super tough, but my husband seems to like them. I had to go back
because he did in one of them in short order. I got two more.

I go to the customer service desk and they tell me they stock every
item found in the warehouse (it's a big store). I've gone to the
trouble of filling out a request form but who knows if it ever shows
up.

That bitch revels in the opportunity to (she thinks) look big. Being able
to put someone down makes her day. I can just see her now, checking out
adjectives on google ... Others do it but never to the same degree. It is
not too long since people were complaining about her, but she doesn't seem
to learn. She has been in my kf for a long time. She is disgusting.

+1 I get sick of the moaning about anything and everything she does and if
she doesn't perform to their satisfaction, they make stuff up.

Says more about them than it does her. They are too thick to kf her
(although where else would they get their jollies) and follow her around
like sick puppies.

Sf, you are right on the money about distribution centers or warehouses not having a
specific product. When I ask my supermarket, part of a Midwest chain, for a certain
product they once had but now don't, their usual response is to check it on their
computer and then tell me that the warehouse doesn't stock it any ore.

Recent disappointments are Ocean Spray Diet Sparkling Cranberry Juice (Ocean Spray
doesn't distribute this product to the Midwest anymore..only the east and west coasts),
Ziploc vacuum storage bags (quart and gallon sizes) (I had to order them from Walmart
online, not available in their stores (but if I did. $35 order, I got free shipping to my door)),
and White Lily flour, which is not distributed anywhere near here yet).

In all cases, the response is that the warehouse doesn't stock it so they can't get it. The
only exceptions are local produce items.

Oh so "pot kettle black," there Ophy.
And to tell the truth, I'm surprised to hear that vemom from you.
That makes you no better than Sky. You barbarian, you! ;-D

Many pick on Julie but she definitely loves the attention.
She could eliminate it all by not responding but she does every post.
Picking on Julie seems to be a game here and it keeps the
newsgroup going with many amusing threads and posts.
To her admiration, Julie plays along and promotes it all.
I used to worry about her getting picked on but no longer.
She's loving the attention even though it's negative attention.

I like Julie. She's cool, but even I will get on her case
occasionally.
She does post some very weird things. Makes the group fun to read.

Ophy, you always defend Julie but have you ever actually responded to
one of her posts? I don't recall any. I would think a "friend" would
respond directly occasionally. I do.

I do not have to be a friend to object to the constant venom some people
here spew on a regular basis. Yes I know they love to look for something to
complain about where she is concerned, otherwise they would ignore or kf
her. Like insecure children looking for a target to bully to make
themselves feel big and part of the crowd

Guess what? I would be just as disgusted if it were you being attacked in a
similar manner ... or would I after that ... hmm ...

I've been attacked many times here and I've noticed that NOBODY ever
chimes in on my behalf. Not YOU either. Later down the road though, I
hear many with my same beliefs. Seems if you are attacked here,
you're on your own.

And as I said, I really like Julie but I think she likes that negative
attention too and this is why I will occasionally tease her. I'm fine
with it as long as it goes ok with her. It all is kind of amusing
(assuming she is fine with it).

Are you saying you have *ever* been attacked at the same level as Julie?
If you had been, you can be assured I would have been as sickened as I am
now.

*shrug* teasing is not on the same level as the stuff we are subjected to
here!

Actually I can't remember you getting the same attention! Point to it?

This is yet another example of bove's illogical "thought processes"

P.S. Technically, tomato is a fruit -- not a veggie.

Fair enough, but I don't see you constantly bitching about them. I am
betting you simply don't read them ... yes?

I don't understand why all the time and effort is put into it. Nothing
has changed, nothing gained, but one or more people have spent many
hours posting nonsense. The "targets" ignore and are immune to the
attacks.

I'm speaking specifically of Winco. Julie shops there as do I. I
know for a 'fact' that Winco is not selling a store nor building a
store in her area. So no disruption problems with her Winco store. I
am speaking of the results that I have had with Winco customer service
and their warehouses. They are employee owned and very focused on
service. Besides, stores are beginning to stock up for
'Back-to-School'. I would think a request for small cans of pears
would be met with interest.
There is little point in sitting on your hands and asking an
international food group regarding availability. I've always felt
embarrassed when I haven't checked out the most obvious solution
first. Apparently that is not the way she operates. It is easier to
shift responsibility elsewhere. At this point she has no idea whether
her local store has access or not and is not willing to find out. I'd
say the original post was bogus.
Logically, consumers must be prepared for price increases and
shortages because drought conditions are reducing crop outputs. But
we/she will not know if it affects the canned pears and the canned
pears price unless she asks someone who can give her an informed
answer.

Yes it is.

And the massive effort the 'gang of four' is demonstrating now speaks to
just how uncomfortable _I_ have made it for them around here.
