I don't, but seriously considered it for the shutters. The shutters
are on the front only and it's a Northern exposure, so I wouldn't
worry about the sun blistering it.

Appropos of nothing, my neighbor has a grey house with white trim.
It looks nice but I wouldn't have a problem if she'd gone with black
trim. It's the homeowners decision, though. It isn't up to the guy who
is being paid to paint the house.

No matter the other colors of the house, black or black-green shutters
(and front door, but not frame) are very popular. So many of the
house exteriors have that.

Only in your mind Gary, I was commenting on YOUR statement that grey houses
with black trim don't look good, which has not a thing to do with Julie so
stop looking for the boogeyman in posts.

He was very off the wall with that. *He* said that it didn't look good, so
why Julie was brought into it, I don't know.

You've been a painter in *your* area. Not here. From what you have said it
is humid there. Right? It gets very dry here when it gets hot which is why
you shouldn't paint when it is hot. The paint will start to dry a you apply
it.

I have nothing against black but I got a brown roof and I don't think black
would look good with that.

I've been looking around and it would seem that most houses here have white

I don't know what's going on next door. That guy hasn't been back. I can't
see why they would need a dumpster for painting though.

The weird thing was when I looked out and saw a guy on their roof who
appeared to be doing what was was going on here! Dumpster is still there.
My guy didn't come back today. He might later but he's very religious and
it's Sunday so I'm thinking not.

I commend you for having some your colour sense. Black trim probably
wouldn't look good against a brown roof.
