Canned pumpkin is excellent... I feed each cat a heaping tablespoon
mixed in their food, the high fiber content helps with passing
hairballs. Btw, canned pumpkin is actually butternut squash...
permitted because botanically they are the same plant family. Pumpkin
contains way too much water to process for canning.

Those small pie pumpkins aren't watery and have more pumpkin flavor.
