Default Dinner tonight -- Seafood

The weather was just a perfect summer day. Naturally, it was dinner
cooked on the grill and enjoyed on the deck

Grilled shrimp
Marinated in tequila, lime juice, olive oil. Put on skewers and
grilled, then drizzled with lime juice.

My neighbor gave us a couple of pounds of clams they dug.

First I prepared a sauce for them that is adapted from a Jasper White
recipe.

Cut a stick of butter into pieces
In a quart saucepan melt three tablespoons of the butter and when hot,
add three teaspoons of chopped garlic and sauté for about a minute.

Add 1/4 cup of white wine
1/4 cup heavy cream
Reduce by half

Add in the rest of the butter slowly and stir to keep in mixed.
Turn off the heat and add tablespoon of chopped chives, salt and pepper.

Put the clams on a hot grill and cook until they open. Split off the
top shell and spoon in some of the butter sauce.

We had a salad, bread, bottle of pear wine from Nashoba Valley Vineyard

I love grilled shrimp and hope you did better than me the
first time I skewered and grilled them. I should have used
2 skewers instead of just one for a line shrimp. When I
tried to turn them they would just spin around. I learned
my lesson and now and use two skewers with the shrimp
'stacked' on them.

Yes, I learned to use two skewers the same way. Done right, easy to
flip over.

In his life-time, George H. W. Bush (GHWB) has controlled every

CIA, 2) Vice President to Ronald Reagan (who was an unwitting puppet to
the Bush controlled cabal – GHWB secretly gave Reagan poisons that
hastened his fall into Alzheimer’s Disease and evidence suggests he
helped plan Reagan’ attempted assassination by John Hinckley, whose
family were close friends of the Bush family – a coincidence?) and 3)

Sounds good Ed!

We had steamed blue crab (local are is Chesapeake Bay), otherwise known
as Maryland Blue Crab (same thing, I'm just south of that state and
same river).

This was time to eat up some leftovers too so it's an odd match we made
but hey, we liked it!

Steamed blue crab
Cabbage kimchee
Carrot soup
sliced ripe tomatoes
Mango slices

Now time to start cooking for this next week's lunches. I have some
things defrosting then will decide what to make.

Carol
