We are going with Pressed Flower. White trim.
http://www.sherwin-williams.com/home...ngColors&p=PS0 The runner up was Rose Colored. http://www.sherwin-williams.com/home...products&p=PS0 Daughter likes the runner up better but it looked a bit too pink and Miami for this area or this style of house. Actually the one I picked did shock me a bit because I was expecting it to look more tan, but... It's such a happy color! And I don't think there is any other house on this block that is that color. I do see what the painter was talking about though. You can't tell what it's really going to look like from just the chip. Why white trim? He was adamant against the green. Oddly enough, the paint company themselves recommends a green as the contrast exterior color for the Rose Colored. Anyway... I was checking the trim on the houses around here and most are white. Actually a lot of the newer construction doesn't seem to have any trim at all around the windows and such. They're very plain looking but they are using brighter colors. |

Am starting to feel claustrophobic because he has started covering the windows. Alas it's going to be another hot one so we won't be able to open any windows or doors. Perhaps the coverings will help. |

I have loved many women but that doesn't mean that I can't be critical of some aspect of their life or their behavior. Surely Squertzy can chide her over not posting about food or cooking, can't he? After all, it is a forum for such discussion. He is not necessarily "hating her" for making such remarks and she did state once that she was going to stick with food related subjects and quit posting of her family and its peccadilloes. ==== |

Uh OK, so what does love have to do with Sqwerty's bullying? Are you presuming he loves Julie? > Surely Squertzy > can chide her over not posting about food or cooking, can't he? Because you think he lovers her?!?!? Huh? > After all, it is a forum for such discussion. Oh so, if she changes her mind she gets bullied? Is that how the world works in your ****ed life Roy? Grow some compassion, you asshole! |

They're very plain looking but they are using brighter colors. That color looks pretty, and I think I would prefer crisp white trim. But if you prefer green, I think you should be able to insist on that. After all, you are paying for it. As you said, you can't get a good idea of what it will look like from just a chip, so I have always had the painters paint a good-sized board, let it dry, then look at it against the house at different times of the day. He has finished part of the front. At first he had covered up just the green and I was like... OMG! That looks soooo much better! Then we had to leave for a couple of hours and he had put the main color on some of it. It looked so very good when we drove up. Angela likes it too! Depending on the way the light hits it, it looks more pink or more tan but it's a really nice, fresh color. I am very glad that he suggested the white. Now the house looks bright and cheery! I guess I just wanted the green because I was so used to it being there. |

I looked at the dusky pink, and agree that white was the better choice. The room I'm in now is a lighter dull pink, with a lighter pink on the windows. --Bryan |

I just gave up and agreed on the white since most of the houses here seem to have that color. Plus I figured if someone here pulls down a gutter like they did before and have to replace it, a white one can easily be purchased. I can't wait for it to be done! It really does look cheery. Better still, I now enjoy looking into the backyard. I hated doing that before because that's where the back house is and it had the mismatched gutter, peeling door and rotting siding, all because that person *did* pull the gutter off for reasons unknown. So now instead of looking out and seeing a decrepit looking building, I see a pretty one! The person who pulled the gutter off figured that it didn't matter what that building looked like since nobody could see it from the street. But I put my foot down there and said that it needed to be kept up properly. The gutter did get put back up but in the meantime we had severe storms that year and it was all downhill from there. |
