I got one of thoe Eggtastic ceramic MW cookers and am looking for recipes
beyond the srambled egg recipe included. I tried Google but eggtastic or egg-tastic seems to be a generic name for all egg recipes = in pans, etc. No luck finding anything but a potential YouTube video but my system is too slow for videos. Can anyone provide a link for plain old printed recipes for this device? TIA -- You know it's time to clean the refrigerator when something closes the door from the inside. |

Type this into Google: "Eggtastic recipe" and the two choices that pop up are "guide" or "book" (which have different hits). Go for it Ken! -- sf |

Very hard to get consistent results. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Chef-Buddy...ooker/24806074 |

I usually don't buy those things until they hit The Dollar Tree Store, or at least until they hit other stores, since I will not pay for those ridiculous shipping and handling fees. :-) Cheri |

Ken has never made any claims about being a good cook or even much of a cook. The easier it is, the better he likes it. Bryan has been dumpster diving, so we know where his taste is buried and he's not on solid ground when he tries to criticize anyone for anything in this group. -- Elitist Snob |

Came out rather 'tough' and dry. I cooked according to package directions. I was careful not to overcook, just long enough to solidify the runny egg mixture. Came out not creamy as I expected. Next time I'll add a bit of milk. Hope it comes out better. I was disappointed but am willing to give it a few trys before I give up. Also found it difficult to remove the egg scraps from the cooker when I washed it. I had hoped for a very quick easy way to make a couple of scrambled eggs when I wasn't hardly hungry and didn't feel like 'cooking'. -- You know it's time to clean the refrigerator when something closes the door from the inside. |

Thanks for the response. I was very curious, sorry that it didn't live up to your expectations. I am a sucker for a lot of the "as seen on tv" kitchen gadgets but very few have actually been as expected in my experience. Cheri |

Dunno, I don't read all that regular here so Ken is just part of the backwash to me. Fact is none of us are really on solid ground when we criticise another's cookery. Carol -- |

I just watched the ad and read some reviews. Humm! Although it is not for me, it's not actully a terrible device! There's a book someplace for 10$ with recipes but I suspect any decent omlete sort of recipe will do. By volume it holds 4 eggs. Reduce volume of egg to accomodate other things like cheese or mushrooms or whatever you like. Key bad design point is no handle and it's hot so need to use a mitton to snag it back out. I may show it to my husband who'd probably rather rinse this out quickly some mornings as opposed to grabbing a frying pan when he just wants to make 2 eggs with a little ham and milk. Might appeal to him. If I were on travel with only a hotel microwave, it would work for me too. I look at it and it's just an alternative cooking device. What you put in it, will determine if it's a good food out of it. Carol -- |
