Was very tasty and my three guests loved it... not everyone likes
bloody rare, I don't... this was perfect for two young neighbor kids
('bout ten-twelve years old) and their parent. I've fed a lot of
people, most prefer medium to medium well, they like pink but not
bloody. Thing is when top round is a relatively large cut and roasted
at 325ºF it doesn't dry out... too many people buy too small a roast
and then wonder why it's dry regardless at what temperature a meat
thermometer registers. When I got to the market the top round roasts
were all 2.5-3 pounds, much too small for my liking, so I asked the
butcher to cut me two roasts about 4.5-5 pounds, I walked about
picking up a few items and in less then ten minutes I got what I
wanted, two very nice roasts and nicely tied. One is in the freezer.
I was thinking of buying more to grind for burgers but when I went
into town and all I bought were three loaves of my favorite bread, a
head of iceberg and a pound of Boar's Head Ham, then went to the
liquor store to buy a case of Crystal Palace vodka but all they had
were four bottles so I bought all four. I see nothing bad about
Birdseye frozen veggies, they're actually better than the so called
fresh at teh stupidmarket that were harvested two weeks ago... Birdeye
is flash frozen in the field minutes after it's picked. Unless you
grow your own the national brands of frozen are as good as it gets.
I've tried but the growing season in NY is too short for broccoli and
too iffy for cauliflower

Well, you don't know it. His wife might have actually been there.
Don't know about the third person, though.

Awfully skimpy, a teeny tiny ear of corn and just two over cooked
broccoli flowerettes... and those pork chops look very dry... very
poorly plated... looks like it was all cooked last week. Give it up,
dwarf, no one wants to eat at your house... my feral cats eat better
than you... tomorrow morning they'll get the roast drippings mixed
into their food, they love that... outdoor cats burn up calories
fast... if the dwarf ate and exercised like my ferals he'd be svelte
rather than his super pudgy self.

What a load of cod. I certainly did for my kids and still do for my
grands. They all love a roast beef dinner and cauliflower and broccoli.

Im sure BOTH dinners were good but I have to admit that Sheldon won
that picture competition. Even that black plate went well with the
meal. heheh

Mostly the dwarf is slimey, smarmy, and envious.
I've been living here twelve years now so I know a lot of people. I
have guests often, mostly neighbors, rarely family as most have passed
and the few remaining live a great distance, last year my brother sold
his house in Florida and moved to Argentina. Most of the people I
knew since childhood have passed and those remaining have moved far
away, my navy shipmates the same, and also those I worked with. My
grands made friends here so the two weeks between camp and school they
stayed here and I fed their friends most every day, either lunch,
dinner, or both, and occasionally one or both parents... in fact I was
just out picking some remaining crops, some I will keep and some will
be given to a neighbor. The garden still has plenty to pick before a
frost arrives.... I have lots of cantaloupes in all cup sizes, I have
a dozen more cabbages all over H cup size. I still have some cukes
and zukes, and tons of tomatoes ripening late. My cauliflower probably
won't have enough time and I know the brussel sprouts will never
produce more than leaves but ever so often I try... and I have pecks
of curly leaf parsley. This wasn't a great growing season but still I
havested far more than I could use so I gave a lot away. Most of this
will go to a neighbor, I'll keep the melons, zukes and cukes, and
Barny of course:

For the record, I never once even considered sleeping with you. And
you know that. You're the one who somehow got the idea that I was
going to move in with you - and you posted that to RFC just out of the
total blue.

After having met you twice at casual austin.food gatherings 2 or 3
years ago and not giving you any indication that there was any sort of
romantic interest in the least, you somehow twisted that into MY
MOVING IN WITH YOU?

That was just way too Psycho for me. I sat there at stared at the
screen for at least 15 minutes wondering, WTF? That was just way too
spooky. I've met weird, semi-psycho women before but you win, hands
down. Mapi of austin.general still holds the male title, but at least
he announced his psychosis right there lying on the floor of the bar
at B.D. Reilly's rather than romantically obsessing over me for 2
years.

Needless to say, you need to come to terms with what happened and why
your mind works that way and stop making up excuses for your fixation
and disappointment before we become the next Yoli and Michael. I'd
prefer you use a sniper rifle on me from a few hundred yards away.
There you go - a reason for you to buy yet another gun and ammo.

And Jeremy, I was just tired of your decade of bullshit and visions of
grandeur about all these things you're "working on" or have not done
in the past. Even posting a call for meetings with imaginary people
about imaginary projects of yours at "the normal time and place", as
if you are somebody important with a life. I'm pretty sure you're
manic depressive mixed with habitual liar.

Sorry I don't fit either of your Ideal Psycho Pal Profiles.

Both meals looked good to me, but both plates had much more food
on them than I am accustomed to eating. One pork chop or
that tiny end-cut piece in Sheldon's picture. Maybe half
the potato.

Anytime... and the dwarf's aren't actual grilled on a grill, those
'grill marks' are from one of those weird cast iron pans with raised
ridges... or knowing the dwarf he puts those marks on with a magic
marker! LOL
I don't even need to cook tonight, I still have half of yesterday's
roast beef, I'll slice it paper thin so we can have piled high cold
beef sandwiches with horseradish mayo spread on good French peasant
bread from:
http://heidelbergbread.com/index.php...-peasant-bread
with vine ripened home grown tomatoes. And I do maintain a cabinet
with other than Crystal Palace. So what'll we do for dessert?

Where did you learn how to cut roasts? Roasts are cut against the
grain, not with you twit. That would be tough as leather being
overcooked top round cut thick with the grain like that. PASS!!!!!!

Yup...the Dwarf's garden gnome - ish meal up there I'd describe as "puke - alicious"...looks like something you'd step in on a sidewalk on The Bad Side 'o Town...

I've never had kids turn down anything I've prepared and they
especially like to pick their own choice of veggies, self picked
string beans are always a big hit and they've learned to love baked
winter squash, grilled eggplant, grilled zukes, and especially grilled
fruit... they'd much rather have grilled peaches, nectarines,
apricots, and grilled buttered pineapple slabs than ice cream, but
I'll force some ice cream on them too, because I like 'nilla on
grilled fruit. Grilled ripe cling peach halves till caramelized with
a scoop of good vanilla is almost better than sex.

I do believe the dwarf stalked Omelet hoping to bed her but she would
have no more to do with that biker skank than any other normal female
would... can you imagine going on a date with a pudge on a bicycle...
probably an old rusty tricycle stolen from some poor six year old
beaner kid... what a sad dwarf.

Omelet is a woman of good taste as those who read her here know.

Unfortunately my younger brother is a faggot, his faggot SO, Osvaldo,
is from Argentina. I'm guessing they decided to retire there. My
brother is, like most faggots, a megalomaniac, can't believe a word he
says. I don't know for sure where he lives, he's dropped off the
planet many times for months, even years. One day he'll claim he has
more money than The Donald, in the next breath he needs to borrow
fifty bucks. I've had faggot tenants, they're all sickos, and unlike
the stereotype none are neat and clean, they're filthy piggies, who'll
hook up with total stangers for a quickie in parking lots, they
deserve STDs.
