Okay... the corporate world. The military world. Whatever. Most
people I know aren't afraid of *** people. We certainly don't sit
around thinking about their sexual preferences. Shunned? Sounds like
the Amish turning out a *** boy. LOL

Not so simple when you see two guys holding hands just like a straight
couple.

I don't tell about my sexual life. That's private and no one elses
business. On the same note, I don't want to hear about your's either.

Okay, but you make it sound like they're supposed to hide
their life. I know you were married to a woman, so what
I'm saying is you don't keep your orientation a secret.

I put the words "moustache" and "***" together into a Google search. The
result didn't surprise me.

That's not what I said. I said Gary has presented his life
as a hetero one, I accept that is true, but that's not the
point. The point is he hasn't hidden his life.

None of the *** people we know pretend to be straight; they are open
about their relationships and partners both socially and at work, and
it's completely accepted at both.

It doesnt prove anything really. Plenty of *** and bi guys marry,
often sadly for all the wrong reasons.

I would have thought his enslavement to Scientology to be a much more
pertinent issue.

Agree with that. I couldn't care less about somebody's sexual
orientation (harmless ones at least). Make an issue out of it or keep
throwing it in my face and that will get my back up.

How would it sound if Gary kept on going on about his heterosexuality
at every opportunity, or try to draw undue attention to his sexuality
all the time in a bid to draw attention to himself or to receive
preferential treatment?
You see that in the media *all the time* with gays and bisexual
people, particularly from those who are in the public eye.

I knew a *** woman who told me she wished I swung that way because she
found me attractive. I said I was flattered but sorry, not my cup of
tea. It never came up again. If she'd tried to press the issue I'd
have gotten irritated. I've never run into a pushy *** person. I've
run into more than my share of pushy heterosexual men who think they're
entitled to some sort of attention, though.

I'm sure most all of us have been hit upon at one time or another by
*** or bi people. That doesnt bother me at all, but like you get
annoyed if they don't take no for an answer. I can think of a couple
of guys who hit on me in that latter category.

NB: Actually... I can think of a couple of women who hit on me too who
were like that! Principle is the same.

Good, but it does not always work like that. Laws mean little too. It
people want to discriminate, they find ways to do it. Many working
women will tell you that from first hand experience.
