Oh yeah, if you mean he's basically a repressed homosexual?
Good odds on that. Either that, or he's experienced sexual abuse from
another male in childhood. *Somethings* going on there, anyway.

Pets are more important than people who you may see now and again and
maybe never... pets are with you 24/7 from beginning to end... much
more important than shithead relatives. That pets are more important
than relatives is a no brainer.

Totally disagree, but I would imagine in your case that your relatives leave
you alone a lot.

Specially exhibitionistic. "Keeping up with the Kardashians" is/was
a "reality" television show about shallow people spending money on shallow
things. People who are interested in "glitter" rather than "gold" watch it.

19 Kids and Counting (the Duggars) was a show about a large, fundamentalist
family who are part of the "let's out-breed the atheists" movement.

FYI, the Kardashian family has two famous fathers, the late
Robert Kardashian who was a member of OJ Simpson's Dream Team,
and Bruce Jenner, who is now Caitlyn Jenner.

Yes, I tend to forget that, since I don't follow the "paparazzi news".
(Although it would be nearly impossible to be unaware of Caitlyn Jenner
without abandoning the news altogether.)

I wouldn't have know anything about Caitlyn Jenner if I hadn't read about it
here.

Not ***. Here's a pic of me and my last human(?) girlfriend at Worden
Park when we visited the UK many years ago.

http://i61.tinypic.com/fc1krb.jpg

She was the love of my life but she died way too young. I still miss
her, think of her, and love her every single day, so I have no need
for a new girlfriend other than the little furry one that is sleeping
on my bed as we speak.

Mia is not too long for this world either. I will start NO new
relationships...I'm so tired of the constant losses. All of the pain
from each haunts you forever. I'm so over the heartbreak.

Gary, just make Mia as comfortable as possible. I know you will.

I thought the same thing about not adopting another cat after Persia
died. I was sure I didn't want another cat. Then the owner of a couple
of cats died and Buffy needed a home. A home where she wasn't being
bullied by the other resident cat, Frankie. The poor thing had to hide
all the time.

So I adopted Buffy. I'm sure glad I did. She's a real sweetheart.
She's also very happy being an only cat. (Some people think all cats
need companions. Nope, some cats really don't want a companion. Persia
was the same way. No other cats!)

Yes, there is always pain and loss when beloved pets die. We grieve.
But giving another one a chance for a happy home... I'm glad I rethought
that.

Others here disagree with you Sheldon but I DO agree. The darn pets
are with you 24/7. They never ask more from you than food, care and
love. They love you unconditionally with no issues. They are loyal to
the end.

My ferret trumphs any human at this point in my life. Even daughter
ignores me but she is very busy so I don't hold that against her.
Ferret is here constantly and so very cool.

Bruce Jenner is nothing more than a carnival side-show. You're better
off not knowing anything about HIM. It's only gone on tv to generate
money for him. Lazy ass should just get a real job instead of becoming
the most horrific "woman" ever. Creepy people attract tv producers.

After my lovely Blue died it took more than a year to get myself back to the
rescue centre. There are so many lovely dogs that are desperate for loving
homes and then after we lost Bonnie I was determined not to wait so long
again. We went and looked at dogs, but none of them were my lovely
Bonnie It was just too soon. Anyway I looked on the website and saw our
Poppy. She was such a lost wee soul. Skin and bone with no hair on her back.
She has her problems as you know, but I don't regret taking her. She is so
affectionate now and she is coming on well. At least we can look forward to
having her for a good number of years.

A sad loss as all such loses are.

I'm sorry to say however you may have a lawsuit against KIA for ripping

Dude, I marched in the St. Louis Pride this year, in a group that was well
over 50% hetero.

It's true that I'd make a lousy *** guy. Not only do I find the idea of
putting my mouth on another man revolting, but I strongly dislike Streisand
and Broadway musicals. As far as over-the-top campiness goes, I find it
ridiculous, but no more or no less as absurd as sports fans waving towels
or foam hands with the index finger sticking out.

This:
http://isabelrose.com/wp-content/upl...ning-image.jpg
is no more or less ridiculous than this:
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3289/...13c0c229df.jpg

If you don't think so, you're probably either a nutso sports fan or a major
prude.

They show it in their own way, in their own time.

My two girls are very affectionate to me (in fact I don't get much
'screen time' when in front of this computer). Any visitors would
never get that impression from them, since they either go elsewhere or
sit in the background when other people are here. People leave... the
girls want to interact all the time and give smooches.

"dumped cat"... some sort of Asian slow cooking?

I once heard a great saying about cats and dogs:

Cats have Aspergers
Dogs have ADD

So very accurate and true IMO
Cats behaviour reminds me so much of autism/Aspergers, such as the
'Stand-offish' behaviour you mention. Dogs certainly have ADD... I
know mine does

Aww. She loves you lots.

Animals are honest and don't deceive.
Well... not much, anyway

Buffy likes to sit on my lap when I'm in front of the computer. She
gets scritches and purrs and gives my hand little kisses.

She's not very fond of visitors but she does come out to investigate. I
had to have the AC repaired last month (just in time not to need it!)
and she was curious about the guy who was working in the attic. She had
no idea there were magic stairs that descend from the ceiling in the
hallway! That sort of freaked her out.

She hid most of the time until he sat down to create the receipt. Then
she decided she wanted to meet him. She marched right up and started
winding around his legs. He said, "I don't like animals." I didn't
believe him for one minute. He tried very hard not to laugh while
giving her scritches around her ears and under her chin.

To offend homophobes. Just kidding. It was fun. I got to throw candy and
trinkets to folks, who were again, over 50% hetero. It was a volunteer thing
for the company I was working for. There were boatloads of companies with
floats and such.

It's a call for attention where none need be given.

Folks need to get on with their lives and quit parading around to flaunt
themselves.
