I'd like to know how/why people keep dredging up really old posts to
respond to. The dumber the better, it seems. Unfortunately, given
the current situation in rfc even an old and stupid post like the one
about rfc is better than half the posts here.

I sort of wondered if the wax paper comments were dated as parchment is
sooooo much better for what he describes, though I've never used it for
baking cakes. Maybe some bakers use little rounds of parchment paper on
the bottom of a cake pan, but doing so around the sides could ruin a
smooth finish.

I always used parchment paper for cake decorating, but it was much
thicker than what's sold on rolls. I'd buy it in cake decorating shops
an roll it into a cone, staple it closed and there you go.

We have new recycling policies dictated by a new recycling plant being
used, and we have to exclude all plastic bags. Even though I try to use
cloth grocery bags, I sometimes don't bring enough and get bags. Many I
use for disposing of dirty cat litter scoopings, I still end up with
more bags than I can use.

I wonder what kind of inspections must be made to certify that the land
is safe? Who knows what kind of stuff people put in the trash.

We have the same ability here, but it really isn't worth it for the most
part. I started a fundraiser to help a local woman who does animal
rescue and I put an ad in freecycle that I'd pick up people's saved cans
on a regular basis. After the first trip to the recycling center with a
whole truckload of cans, it wasn't worth the trouble anymore. I think my
friend got at most about $50 for a lot of work and running around
picking up cans, then having to crush them.

I'd like to know how/why people keep dredging up really old posts to
respond to. The dumber the better, it seems. Unfortunately, given
the current situation in rfc even an old and stupid post like the one
about rfc is better than half the posts here.
