Default 208 Mints! Gently placed in a storage box 2,3,4 at a time!

I love having a new "digital camera"! Really a Android HTC Desire 610 "cell phone" I found on the ground at the Market In The Loop going across the street to St Louis BreadCo! It was like blank and brand new! I kid you not, no info on it! So I have a new "digital camera"! ;-) I bought a $5 microUSB to stdUSB to charge and DL pics to my computer's hard drive. I keep NOTHING on the thing!

Well, you think you do, and maybe you pull the battery too, but did you
get the button one below the breadboard?

I'm an Electrical Engineer too, reemember? I think I can tell when an electronic device is off! And no I didn't do all the things you can think of. It can't function at all with no electicity, and I KNOW it's powered off! 100% completely!

I had a Tandy electrical set too.

But you can't define which sectors contain capacitors that store and
release current.

Yep! Tells the hardware what to do when it first powers on! Which means it must've been OFF!! ;-) Quid pro quo!

I know that! Something's gotta power the equivalent of the PC's BIOS to tell the hardware what to do. None of the processing or other stuff on the chip though is powered.

John, what do you do with all that candy? Sell it? Gift it?

I used to bulk-produce it for gifts and for sale but frankly, it gets
tedious after awhile and I lost interest in doing it.

I just noticed that my newer laptop is made in China. Remember back in
the 1960's it was Japanese products that had the reputation of cheap
crap...and it was true then. That said, while we Americans were
denouncing and laughing about cheap Japanese products, they continued
to work hard and improve. They eventually took over the electronics
and even the auto trades and became known for the best products.

I give it to my friends and family as Christmas gifts! I started this as my Christmas tradition 31 years ago or so, when I was still married back in the 1980's as a way to have gifts for everyone, something good that one cannot buy. And you cannot buy it becaose I make it and I will never sell it! Another part of my reasoning was to fight the commercialization of Christmas.. As I like to say while everyone else is out grunting and squealing running around maxing out their credit cards spending miney they don't have to buy the latest and greatest gotta have JUNK, I'm at home drinking wine and playing with chocolate!! :-)

Yeah, back in the day, Japanese JUNK were cheap knock offs of quality American made stuff. Not that all American made stuff was always top quality, it was not. But some way. Sheisters have no nationality! The market economy in the U.S. used to regulate itself by offering us consumers a choice. Now we have no choice! We have Owners!!

We see how that's worked out for U.S.!! Sick sad part is, we did it to ourselves!! :-(

Check out the number of students from China in the engineering schools
in the US. China is improving at a fast pace and will surpass us before
we know it.

They still make some cheap junk, but they are also capable of making
some high quality products. Some day they may even get the human rights
and environmental issues resolved.

Only if We The People of the U.S. allow it!! I know better than others. I live in a rental property owned by the Chinese right now (a large part of the reason I weant to BUY this house outright!) occupied by a number of Chinese "students" who like my Chinese landlord who want to do everything very cheaply and superficially, and can't even clean up after themselves!! Like little children in the house!! We had the power go out in some of the kitchen outlets the other day, and the Chinese residents were all like taking pics of junk with their little cell phones and calling the landlord, and *I* was the one who ascertained a breaker downstairs had blown! I went downstairs and flipped it back on, and everything was fine!!

Bunch of helpless Chinese children, I live with!! :-(

There was a programme on the radio this morning talking about how the
Chinese are stealing land and sea areas from the Philippines. The reporters
were in a Philippine area where poachers were breaking up the coral to steal
giant clams and sea turtles , which they can sell for big money. It seems
that last year the Philippines took some poachers to court and convicted
them of poaching. China made a big fuss and demanded their return so now
the poachers are free to do whatever they wish. They are wrecking the sea
beds and there is nothing that can be done.

Well done Thieving Bully China!!! Our Prime Minister can have him here and
make a big fuss of him but I am not impressed.

They already has the ability to manufacture the best consumer electronics products as well as cheap ass consumer goods. I have no idea what you guys are talking about China surpassing us in the future. They already have.

Did you know there is an entire city built beneath Bejing in the event
of a disaster?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underground_City_(Beijing)

The Underground City (Chinese: 地下城; pinyin: DìxiÃ* Chéng) is a Cold
War era bomb shelter consisting of a network of tunnels located beneath
Beijing, China. It has also been referred to as the Underground Great
Wall since it was built for the purpose of military defense. The complex
was constructed from 1969 to 1979 in anticipation of a nuclear war with
the Soviet Union, as Sino-Soviet relations worsened[1][2] and was
officially reopened in 2000.[3] Visitors were allowed to tour portions
of the complex,[3] which has been described as "dark, damp, and
genuinely eerie".[4] Dixia Cheng has been closed for renovation since at
least February 2008.[1][1]

http://travel.cnn.com/explorations/l...n-city-508555/

The space beneath Beijing is increasingly seen as a means of easing the
strain on a city overloaded with people and traffic.

The state-run China Daily reported in 2010 that city planners have
earmarked three underground levels to be built beneath Dongcheng
district, housing shopping malls and roads.

Should this happen, I wonder if future subterranean Beijingers, browsing
rails of designer clothing, will feel any echo of the chilling
"underground city" that once existed in its place.

I would say it was more like the 50s when Japanese goods were el cheapo
as they tried to re-establish their manufacturing sector. During the
1960s Honda helped to create the spread the motorcycle culture. Japanese
cars made their appearance on the North American market and they were
inexpensive, but well made.

Something to think about. We had a couple of world wars where North
American business and industry outproduced the enemy. They made more and
they made better. We had the technological advantage. There is no
guarantee of that in the future.

We have stealth technology and far better tech.

We rule.

Hoo boy, I've never heard of this before, although it shouldn't be too
surprising - if you're afraid of having nukes raining down on your head,
you head for cover. Thanks!

Americans have their own extensive underground facilities in Washington.
Mostly, it's for those fat cats in D.C., those dicks!

Sounds like he might as well be living in China, given his housing
situation. The great thing about China is that you can have a cigarette
with your Japan noodles and nobody's gonna look at you funny.

Keep telling yourself that!! The U.S. Military Industrial Complex is a big stinking pig of excesses!! Destined to FALL! I can feel the crumbling of it right now!! *I* got out!! I used to work for IBM who worked for Boeing, formerly McDonnell Douglas, a major U.S. military contractor!
