Default annual Andy Remembrance

another year has passed without anyone bothering to make the tv
documentary, Andy Barns [sic]: The Untold Story

my wife was interrogating me about old things in the freezer and I said
to keep the English muffin without a fleeting thought of Andy ... but
then later I noticed

Andy steadily fades into the past but doesn't vanish completely

I always liked Andy-Panda. "Washed down with a glass of ice cold
milk" He last posted here on Dec.31 (if I'm not mistaken) and about 3
years ago. Then we never heard from him again.

All said though, one of my favorite quotes is, "No one truly dies as
long as they are remembered."

Long live Andy in this ng.

Well, as a most probable Narcissistic Personality Disorder sufferer Bryan, you are now expressing one of the hallmark signs/symptoms of that particular mental health disorder. Lack of empathy. Andy was a regular contributor to this sick and twisted little online food club (RFC) as are you and I, so in that I accepted Andy and always hoped for him the best.

Breakfast with an ice cold glass of milk. He could be nice, but he was
also (sorry if this is politically incorrect) a complete nut. It's a
good thing he never looked up your phone number.

Too many to take on, it's a losing battle. And like mud wrestling a pig, one get's dirty and the pig enjoys it! All I can do is lead by example and NOT be a total jerk here.

Yeah, I understand Ed. Andy could just go off sometimes. I learned to ignore it and everything was fine from my perspective.

Andy was somebody who could post cheerfully in the early morning. But by noon, without fail, he was loaded to the gills. And then he got nasty and/or horny. He died the way all alcoholics die. Sad stuff, but not worth a thought by anybody.

That's true. He's not the only person from an ng to ever call me. I
don't mind as long as the person doesn't go overboard and start calling
me every three hours. If I say I'm busy or don't feel like talking, I
mean it.

That's why I love email and voicemail!! You can call or email anytime YOU want, but *I* don't have to listen or read it until *I* have time! That was the thing about the phone ringing that I never understood. At the very moment YOU decide YOU want to call me, what made you think at that moment MY phone rings that *I* have nothing better to do than answer it? Leave me a message and I'll listen to it when *I* choose!

How many times did you use the word, I? Too many to be worth counting.
*I*'m very glad that in the real world, I have nothing to do with you.
If you killed yourself, very few people would care.

You should have quoted the word "I". Object language vs. meta language, the basis of the need for quotations.

I was typing to try and inflect the verbal intonations I'd use if I was speaking the sentence.

So very well said, John! :-D
That's exactly how I feel about it all.

Anyone that knows me knows to leave a message or send an email.
If they don't like that, they will never contact me. Screw them.
