One day they had only vegetarian so I tried it and it was really good. I have been back several times and now it seems to be the one they run out of first. |

The ends are what they have at the deli counter. You know, the place where they slice meats and cheeses to order? When they have just a little stub left, it gets chopped into smaller pieces and put in a plastic tub and sold at a reduced price. You never know what meats or cheeses might be in there. They are not labeled as such. I'm not sure that you can even get these any more given the current labeling laws. I used to buy them at Albertsons back in the 70's and 80's. At that point in time, the one near where I lived was the only store around that actually had such a deli counter. At least in this area. Not long after, most stores did get them. |

Who knows what Australian cheddar tastes like, but I'm going to put >>> it on a pizza. >> >> Isn't it good that YOU have the choice <g> > > Yes, and I doubt I shall abominate it ![]() The worst pizza I ever had was from the school cafeteria. I used to think that they put cheddar on it because it was yellow but now I realize that it was more than likely what they referred to as government cheese. Had an odd taste and texture to it. Worse still for sauce they seemed to use canned tomatoes, drained, no other seasonings added. The crust was an anemic, white, bloated bread that was rolled out into a rectangle. The individual pieces were square. I could manage to eat it if I was super hungry but overall the only real taste that I got from it was the tomato. When I was in Jr. High, you could buy individual pieces of pizza as an option, as opposed to a meal, but few people ever bought it. Then about halfway through lunch, they would start giving out the pieces for free. They always had a lot left over because few people bought them. But there was a catch. You could only have one free piece. My friends and I used to decline it because we had no interest in it but then a girl that I knew approached me and asked if we might get the free pieces and give them to her. I felt bad then. I had eaten dinner at her house many times when I was younger. We had been friends then but had grown apart as we really had little in common other than that we were both seriously underweight. I knew that they had very little food in the house based on those dinners. We'd get perhaps a 1" square of meat, a slice of unbuttered bread and a dab of vegetables. So... We took the pizza and gave it to her. Not sure what she did with it but I did feel bad that she had to eat it. |

I can't remember ever having cheddar, but I've also never met a cheese that I didn't like. I even like low fat supermarket cheese, in spite of its resemblance to plastic. It's still very nice plastic. -- Bruce |

I liked what taco bell called mexican pizzas when they first came out a couple of decades ago. They were tostadas, but TB called them "pizza" at the time because most white Americans had no idea what a tostada was back then. -- sf |

I don't make pizza very often but when I do, if I have some small amounts of cheeses that need to be used up, I will put those on there. |

It looks like the gunk they put on "nachos" at a snack bar. Not at all appealing. Having said that, you can put pretty much anything you want on a pizza. I'm not a pizza fanatic. I haven't made one from scratch in decades. Can't be bothered. If a pizza craving hits I just doctor up a frozen pizza. Yes, sometimes I sprinkle some cheddar on top. But I also add lots of shredded mozzarella. Jill |

The red dye was a mess on your fingers and stained your lips. California growers got a nudge up in the pistachio market as a result. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/0...n_6570944.html or http://www.thekitchn.com/whatever-ha...tachios-189029 Jill |
