I don't really see many advertisments at all. I tend to watch channels that
don't have them. Or if they are on, I don't pay attention. I have read
about a Campbell's soup one with two dads and then of course the Ikea ads.
Then there is a Cheerios one with a mixed family.

Yes, I know the story of Kelloggs. I don't eat cornflakes. Not for that
reason. Just not a cereal lover.

Could be but that is not the case here.

So? Most of what I buy from them is not stuff that I eat!

And you can also eat eggs. I can't. That pasta isn't safe for me.

Not my cup of tea either. I like this area. Seattle? Not so much. I'm
not into big cities.

We were there in 87-88. We went to the Alderwood mall frequently. We'd take my son to the triangle park down the road and had a good life there. I worked in Everett and my wife worked in Seattle. My son went to Spruce elementary. We could be living there still but sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes the bear eats you.

Julie, the less I am hammered with what you can/can't, will/won't eat
the better. You couldn't remember the brand name of what you buy, she
buys Barilla.

We have more pressing problems to deal with than a few people using
illegal drugs.

Do you have any idea what apartments rent for in SF? Look it up.
People who barely make it here can live very nicely elsewhere.

I have no sense of adventure. I know what eggs do to me. I hope to never
be that sick ever again. So I avoid them.

We were there in 87-88. We went to the Alderwood mall frequently. We'd take
my son to the triangle park down the road and had a good life there. I
worked in Everett and my wife worked in Seattle. My son went to Spruce
elementary. We could be living there still but sometimes you eat the bear
and sometimes the bear eats you.

I'm not sure where the triangle park is. In those years I was most likely
living in Seattle. I really don't know Lynnwood very well. Only certain
parts of it. Although the house I grew up in was very close to it, and I
did go to school there in Jr. High, aside from going to very certain,
specific places, the rest is foreign to me.

Can't remember the last time I was at the mall. I hate malls and try very
hard not to go there. I did take Angela to Nordstrom to get her feet
measured when she was younger, and I did have to go to Build A Bear a few
times for parties. And a few other times because someone else wanted to go.
I did have a friend who worked at the mall and I would sometimes pick him up
after work but it wasn't a big deal then as the mall was closed and traffic
wasn't heavy.

Replying again because I remembered something else. Did you ever eat at Pio
Pios? It was near the mall in a strip mall. Loved that place. It's an
appliance store now. I guess the property owner figured they'd make more
money for him than a Mexican restaurant. The owner has since opened a new
place but it's not anywhere near here. However, I discovered that he is the
uncle of the place where we now frequently eat.

The really sad that is that the first time I saw one, I didn't know what was
wrong with him. My daughter did. She steered me away from him. This was
at the Everett Winco. AFAIK I haven't seen any since. But I know they are
around here. Drugs are starting to be a BIG problem here!

It's a national epidemic - how and where it spreads is just a matter of
time and demographics.

Seems to follow the economy. When we were in PA, they had a very high
unemployment rate, at least where we were at and the drug problem was severe
where as it wasn't so bad here. And now it is.
