You're the one who keeps saying the thyroid med dosage isn't right and it is messing with your mind. I parroted what you wrote. Cooking something for 2 hours in the oven is not "heat & eat", at least not by my definition. Jill |

Cooking something > for 2 hours in the oven is not "heat & eat", at least not by my > definition. That isn't what I said. I said that my brain hasn't been functioning right since the surgery. I see the Dr. in a few hours and will see what's up with that. I don't think it's a matter of just the thyroid med but it might be. And you are splitting hairs. My point about the turkey was that while it was raw meat, I didn't have to thaw it or do anything to it. Just put it as is, in the bag, in the oven. A pan is needed because juices will come out when you open the bag and the bag may come open on its own while in the oven. |

Thyroid meds are usually prescribed in a low dose the you re tested and dose increased in small steps. I parroted what you wrote. In two hours you can roast a lot of raw meat or poultry. |

This is an exception because I don't have to thaw it or do anything to it. Just put it in the oven and a couple of hours later, pull it out, let it rest, then cut and eat. I well remember the days of attempting to get the plastic off of a pound of ground beef then scraping it with a fork as it cooks, only to have the end result be not very good. Thankfully I no longer have to do that. Most of the time I can just go out and get meat when I need it. |
