Default Pati's Mexican Table

And yes, her voice still bugs me. The other day she had a sister, her boys
and her mom on the show and all spoke normally although Mom had a bit of an
accent. But on today's episode she is doing Mexican comfort food. Says she
grew up in Mexico City and this meal often greeted her when she got home
from school. And what did she make?

Chicken Milanese! Yes! Thinly pounded out chicken breasts that have been
coated in a mixture of eggs and milk, then dredged in seasoned bread crumbs
and pan fried. She added her own seasonings to the crumbs. This was served
with mashed potatoes which she is making now. Red potatoes and she is
putting in scallions. She said you can use other onions too. She is
putting pickled chipotle peppers in there.

Also served with green bean salad. Not sure if she will be showing that or
not. I looked up recipes and they mostly seem to be the same. Beans,
onions, olive oil, chili peppers, cheese, tomato and a few other things.

So, this is interesting. Not something you'd normally see in a Mexican
restaurant.

Wondering why she bothers watching it if Pati's accent bothers her so
much.

Turn off the voice and turn the captions on if it bothers you. I do that
often when a voice annoys me.

Ohhhhh! I don't much like Katie at all. Not her voice or the way she holds
her mouth or the stuff that she makes. But daughter really can't stand her.
Is she even on any more?

Captions? I don't think that's an option for us. If it was, it would be
useless for me because I mainly listen to the TV. I only look at it once in
a while.

She needs her head examined if she watches it anyway. I don't watch
Nick Stellino because I think his accent is absolutely ridiculous, but
I don't come here and go on & on about how much I can't stand it.

Please remind me why she watches Pati in the first place if she
dislikes her so much.

I haven't said it before and I have no need to make it a topic of
discussion the way she did.

Of course captions are an option on any TV in the USA, they have to be
caption ready from the factory. I usually listen too, but with cooking shows
I do watch to see what they're doing.

I don't know, maybe sometimes the person is bearable to her. Personally, if
I dislike a cook consistently, I don't watch them often.

Nick's voice doesn't bother me at all.

There are cooks that I dislike. Mario Batali is one and Guy Fieti is
another.

My TV is quite old. If there are captions, I've never seen them.

====

It would have to be really old not to have caption capability, but you do have
to go to set-up features in your TV to turn them on and off, usually the remote
has the feature, but not always. Refer to your TV manual, but if not having it
you can find it online.

The question remains: WHY is she listening to Pati if she can't stand

How are we supposed to learn Spanish if they don't help us? Are they trying
to keep us down?

Setup features? No. This is a cheap TV. You can change the channels and
the volume. Also turn it on and off. I have no TV manual and this one is
so old that I doubt there would be a manual online. I highly doubt that it
has that or any other features.

Not sure when this TV was made but I think we bought it in 2000 or 2001.

I rather need to hear what she is saying.

I don't like Pati's accent either but it's a good show. Unlike some people,
I can overcome things. Disliking an accent isn't going to affect me much in
the overall scheme of things.

The only things I've ever seen on Mexican TV are soccer, which doesn't need
sound; Mexican soaps, where the women are often so stunningly beautiful
that my eyes would seldom stray to the subtitles anyway; and professional
wrasslin--and who cares what wrasslin' fans think?

You criminally STALK and ABUSE women, you sick little dwarfy man!

Here's what you did when you went all over the Usenet impersonating the
well-liked regular named "sf" and posting all her personal data on the
net against her will, including her:

* home address
* age
* cell phone number
* husband's name

etc.

YOU did that, you evil *******!

And then you had the hubris to actually GLOAT about in public saying:

She should call the cops. I've already publicly admitted it is me so
a conviction should be a piece of cake and then forging would stop.
So what's stopping her? I think she suffers from Bovism - she just
loves the attention and drama and screw the rest of the group.

And before that you literally stalked poor Omelet, a local Auustin
favorite, right off the Usenet!

In your worst moment ever you actually begged her to KILL you:

Sorry I don't fit either of your Ideal Psycho Pal Profiles.

I'd prefer you use a sniper rifle on me from a few hundred yards away.
There you go - a reason for you to buy yet another gun and ammo.

Then after having your nose rubbed in your filthy criminal stalking you
came back with, not an apology, nor the slightest remorse, just this:

"The facebook group is much more pleasant."

But we all know that's only because you cower over there in mortal fear
of being booted by the FB admins.

You're _so done_ here virus, I mean really ****ing done.

I'm making you a project like no other, expect a lot more of your evil
abuse and hatred to be aired for all to see here.

And we both know there's a google archive full of your hatred of women
just waiting to be hung out on the virtual clothesline to dry.

Enjoy then, you rotten, worthless misogynistic *******!
